Nicked from Popbitch.....

PRINCE SETLIST FOR THE BRITS!
my spies were at the rehearsals last night...he will perform When Doves Cry, 17 Days and Fury !!!

Thing is I thought that he was rehearsing TODAY??.

Oh well, as long as he plays fury and shows the rest of the world how he can play that guitar!!

Just because he rehearses 3 songs does not mean he will play them.

I just posted on Popbitch in reply:

"17 Days" would be great but I can't see him doing that as although it is one of his best B-sides (along with "Erotic City" and my favourite, "Alexa de Paris") too many people will hear it and wonder what it is. "Doves" would be great though. Somehow I imagined him opening the show with "Let's Go Crazy", then maybe "Doves" and "Fury".

Oh it's a very Prince-friendly place. Every time he gets mentioned he gets mostly positive comments. I was having a conversation on there yesterday where me and somebody else were happily quoting lyrics from Wendy & Lisa's "Eroica" album for a bit. Doesn't happen in many places, that.

I imagine he'll treat this British award ceremony in the same way as he did the 2004 American Grammy's. As a platform for a relaunch into the public eye again

Unfortunately i imagine this will mean performing 'purple rain' etc.

It makes sense, but it'll reinforce those thoughts that he is a has been. I hope i'm wrong.

Whatever song he does, i hope he blows them all away pray
"London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

"YEAH!!!"

"Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

April 15th is the TV broadcast in the USA. I'll be posting the live radio feed links on the new sticky early evening.

Maybe a lil while longer - can't see any TV broadcast before tomorrow. Unless someone finds a satellite feed or some obscure channel broadcasting live.

huh? no matter where you live, if you upload something you recorded from television, there shouldn't be a delay. confuse

It's not televised for 24 hours after performance. I blame Jarvis Cocker. Hee hee.

The reason for the delay is a previous live show, hosted by Mick Fleetwood and Samantha Fox, which was so crap it turned the BPI into a laughing stock. The presenters were drunk/stoned/illiterate, missing their cues and resorting to making bizarre 'jokes' and ad-libbing incoherently. It is still one of the funniest things I have ever seen. It seems the organisers vowed never to repeat that fiasco again.

Damn, I remember that! Completely incoherent. Funny as hell. I think it's been replayed on a couple of those "100 most something TV moments" shows.

WDC, 17d, Fury.....Fantastic!!! He should really bring the house down with those tracks. Oh, Sheila.....and Wendy.....and Lisa!

Personally, I would have loved to see/hear Erotic City, but I guess we can forget hearing him ever perform that again; what a pity.

Doesn't matter- I'm psyched about the Brits and about the album, Te Amo Corazon notwithstanding.

Personally I think we'll be lucky if they broadcast any of his songs. As he's not one of the nominees I doubt they'll screen anything he plays.
