Lifting from the Vault I was recently reading about the history of a lot of Prince's albums and was real surprised that most of them contain songs that were recorded years in advance.
It made me wonder if it has been confirmed or atleast speculated that some songs on Musicology were recorded long before their release? I'm especially curious about "A Million Days ". It's one of my favorites and it always sounded so much like what he was doing in the Gold era.

Since about '96 '97 security surrounding Prince's recordings really tightened up. There's been no new studio bootlegs, and information has become far more scarce about what has been recorded. So unless Pers Nilsen manages to get some fresh interviews with band-mates and recording engineers from recent years, we may never know details about more recent recording sessions.

Thanks. I was wondering why the well pretty much dried up since that time.
