WARNER MAKING MUSIC AVAILABLE

I READ ON FRIDAY IN "BROADCAST" (UK TV COMMERCIALS NEWSPAPER) THAT WARNER MUSIC HAS NOW MADE A LOT OF CATALOG MUSIC AVAILABLE FOR COMMERCIALS. IT WILL BE INTERESTING IF ANY OF PRINCE'S MUSIC GETS USED...

Unlikely, since they would have to get Prince's permission. Prince's music publishing is now through Universal

Interesting you should bring this up. . .as I was driving in to work today, there was a big billboard by Chevrolet that has the back in of a red Corvette and the following: "Little Red Corvette, Baby U're Much 2 Fast" and the Prince's symbol next to it.

Funny, I've seen one of those too. Looks like they're stepping up the ad campaign from magazine ads to billboards. Next is probably gonna be the TV commercial with the song playing in the background!

i much as i hate artists using their songs(the ones i like) for commercials, i would really like to see how they'd use LRC. Betcha it would be cool.

Isn't Prince's symbol copyrighted? I know Warner's can use the lyrics and music, but the symbol, too?
