After a lot of careful thought, I've decided to take a break from listening to Prince and visiting the org until 3/21, after the end of the day today. That's 38 days - can I handle it? We'll see...

I don't want to get burned out on TAC, BS, BLAB and Fury before then, and I don't want all the surprises of the album (track titles etc.) to be spoiled before I go to the store on 3/21 and pick up the album for myself - I decided this is the best option.

Anyone else want to join me? We may need our own e-support group. But it will make the album that much sweeter...

Only thing is, I still want to know about TV appearances. Maybe since I'm a club member I'll get e-mails - ah, who am I kidding, I'll only get those a few days after each appearance...

I said the same on another thread.
Since the internet I think we expect too much and not matter what, we are swayed by others' opinions. My 15 year is also a fan (since I took him to the "one Night Alone" concerts. We have differing opinions and tastes about certain songs/albums and I think in the earlier days he used to sometimes get swayed about what I said but that is now changing and he has his own views. He listens to all sorts of music including rap, R&B, rock, Indian, etc.....and I think it's better to listen to an album a few times over a week (esp. with Prince) before deciding whetheer you like it or not!!

I applaud you if you can go throught with it - I know I couldn't. I don't want to know anything about the tracklist beforehand, but that doesn't mean that my sorry ass isn't lurking around here twice a day, looking for it.

Ok, so does that mean ur not gonna check up on ur own thread? I wish u luck, but I'm gonna have to keep checkin for updates daily. Fury and Black sweat got me way too thrilled to just sit and wait.

About the best I can do is not download the singles. If/when they are released as cd singles I will probably buy them. If some site streams the cd in the weeks before it is released it will take a lot of willpower not to listen but I will make an attempt not to. I'm trying to listen as little as possible to the TAC cd single. I don't want to be tired of half of the songs on 3121 when I finally get my hands on it. I accept the fact that the days of total surprises are over unless I unplug the TV & the internet. And that ain't gonna happen.

Alright, I'm going to Dunkin Donuts, and when I come back, I'm in my last stretch of the org for 38 days...

I'll be back with a french vanilla iced coffee, but after that you won't see me again until I've finished my first listen of 3121...

I know I should be doing that also. I've been checking HQ and the Org constantly these last days, and it's just frustrating to see that things don't change quickly enough...

gee that's kinda hard. good luck. at least listen to Kamasutra, so that when 3121 does come out it'll at least feel like a leg up.

I've tried to do it myself but it isn't working. I'll be on the subway and Black Sweat pops up in my head. I've played the video and the SNL performance at least once a day and with the news that VH1 and MTV will start playing it next week, it's going to be real tough.
