a bona fide hit..a old fashioned hit..people will buy a single...not like his recent "hits"..but a hit "hit"----cos im a fan i often find it weird that nobody out of the circle has heard of musicology etc

but i was kinda looking forward to going back to TRC culty sort of ways..you know when the org and P were a bit undeground...

I actually suspect it won't be a major hit. Sure it will remind some of what they liked about Prince in the 80s but those people are considerably older now and tastes do change with age. Alot of them will just hear Prince doing the same old thing and wonder why he hasn't moved on ( not having heard TRC etc.). I also don't think it'll impact younger music fans in any big way...just because he's "old". I just can't see where there is a big market for the song.

I hope I'm wrong, I have been before.....late June 1982 I think it was.

Actually, Beautiful, Loved and Blessed is showing more signs of being a hit, at least in terms of airplay.
