Either that or they're dumbing down the quality of their downloads to enhance cd sales. Nuendo's encoder in the highest quality kills whatever they're doing over there.

iTunes has been consistently the best system of encoding compressed files, as far as delivery web stores.

could you be abit clearer here? the quality on npgmc downloads is 192kps, thats enough for me and what i've seen at other stores is exactly the same. it sounds great even on my notebook (or perhaps because its only my notebook i don't expect much eh!).

ah right, i get what you're saying. i suppose i'd have to hear the same song from the npgmc and somewhere else to judge for myself, might have to try get TAC from iTunes or something. never felt the quality was that bad meself though since they upped it to 192kps, like i say though, thats probs cos of me notebook.
