Woohoo! I just put this up to show to a Shawna, but I want to share this with you as well!

Basically this is my personal Best Of Prince. It started out as a working list of songs that should be whipped down to an album filled with Prince songs to awe non-Prince fans (NPF's). Of course it is a nice mix of songs that I really, really like and things that I think will appeal to NPF's.

I am playing it again lots since I felt the need to add Black Sweat to the list, even though it has not proved 'stay'-worthy, I just wanted to feel how the song would fit between the other songs.

As it is a working list, it is in alphabetical order (when I play it, my WMP is on shuffle anyways) and Dr Mr Man is listed twice because I was not sure which version would fit better (it will be the album version, btw). Some songs will be taken off (Tick Tick Bang is a guilty pleasure of mine and turns out not to fit too well into the list), with others added (I miss The Question Of U)

In the end the list will also include more outtakes (can't do without the original Old Friends 4 Sale) and some live performances (Just My Imagination from Het Paard Van Troje, anyone?)

I just thought I would share my work in progress. WHich songs would fit in icely, in your opinion and which ones do not have a place on my rather personal list?

What about the 12 inch of 'She's always in my hair', though? And Uptown from the Hits set is neither remastered, nor the album version, to my knowledge.

Hello is a tat to freakish for NPF's.
I prefer the original She's Always In My Hair.
The outtakes are just not up to par when it comes to sound quality. If Prince ever released In A Large Room With No Lights it might even make the list cuz it is so delightfully UN-Prince, it made me remember Sexual Suicide, though...

Actually, while trying to put Da Bang on my list, I DELETED MY PLAY LIST. By mistake. How stupid.

While re-assembling the list I took off silly additions, like Sex and Poompoom. Took off all the ones I doubted on earlier.

Like I said; a work in progress.

I have the 'Scandalous Sex Suite' (BTW, what a title! ) around somewhere, but I think I only listened to 'Sex' once in my life. Was that one any good? What did it sound like at all?
