NPG/Gett Off/Cream Maxi-single tracks: b-sides or remixes?

Which of the following tracks do you consider to be songs in their own right, and which do you consider to be remixes:

From New Power Generation maxi-single (1990):
T.C.'s Rap
Brother With A Purpose
Get Off
Lubricated Lady
Loveleft, Loveright

From Gett Off maxi-single (1991):
Violet The Organ Grinder
Gangster Glam
Clockin' The Jizz (Instrumental)

From Cream maxi-single (1991):
Things Have Gotta Change(Tony M. Rap)
2 The Wire (Creamy Instrumental)
Get Some Solo
Do Your Dance (KC's Remix)
Housebangers
Q In Doubt (Instrumental)
Ethereal Mix

It really doesn't matter whether they're remixes or separate songs in many ways (and one person's opinion is no more valid than another's), since this is a gray area for Prince and I don't think he cares, but in terms of creating compilations of non-album tracks and separate compilations of remixes, I'd love to hear others' thoughts.

hammer I said gray...

On the home-made compilations I made I put all of those on the B-sides discs, none of them on the alternate mixes discs. That was just me, plus the 8 discs of alternate mixes were made months after I made my hits and B-sides discs.
Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Wow, that's not exactly what I meant lol I read through it, and even considered changing the spelling from gray to grey since I was born and raised in the UK, but instead I changed it to something else... lol...

(BTW, post #2000 on the modern org (since 2002 - been around since before the days of Emancipation, though) - clapping I thank you!)

On my homemade B-sides compilation, I included Get Off, Lubricated Lady, Loveleft, Violet, Gangster Glam and Clockin'. IMO, the rest either count as remixes or are best ignored altogether.

Technically, they're ALL remixes.
But I know what you mean, some of them have become so far removed from the
original track that they could be considered tracks in their own right.

My thoughts --

From New Power Generation maxi-single (1990):
T.C.'s Rap - just an exploration of TC's rap part in the proper song.
Brother With A Purpose - mmm...let's slow down the music from New Power Generation and let Tony M rap over it -- not a song on its own.
Get Off - Definitely its own song
Lubricated Lady - Just an extended instrumental ending to Get Off -- I wouldn't call it a proper song, more like Get Off pt. 2
Loveleft, Loveright - Definitely its own song (and album-worthy, I might add)

From Gett Off maxi-single (1991):
Violet The Organ Grinder - Close to its own song...probably something P had already written and then he decided to sing it over the music track from Gett Off.
Gangster Glam - I would qualify this as a song of its own...but just barely.
Clockin' The Jizz (Instrumental) - nothing more than an extended instrumental ending to Gangster Glam...just like The Lubricated Lady was for Get Off.

From Cream maxi-single (1991):
Things Have Gotta Change(Tony M. Rap) - If I had never heard the remix of Cream, I'd say this was a song on its own.
2 The Wire (Creamy Instrumental) - Probably the best track on the maxi-single -- I'll call this an instrumental that is a song on its own.
Get Some Solo - more like a segue than a song at all
Do Your Dance (KC's Remix) - Definitely just a spinoff track
Housebangers - Damn you Junior Vasquez
Q In Doubt (Instrumental) - Damn you Junior Vasquez
Ethereal Mix - Damn you Junior Vasquez
