Ryde Divine

I saw the Ryde Divine not too long ago and I was really in love with this sceane at the end. Prince had just finnished his set and Troy Beyer was in the audiance amongst all these screaming women. He wrote something on a pink heart shaped pad and held it up to all the crazy women and Troy was just standing there with a smile on her face and he gives it to Troy and gives her an affectionate little whisper in her ear and she is left with this smile and special "Prince girl" glow that a woman can only have when Prince turns his affection to her. love

What did you guys think of the TV special? Was anyone there while it was being filmed in 1993?

i still have no idea what the hell they were all on about, though when prince finally gets to do his thing, it's pretty amazing. otherwise, it's one of the best examples of hype for hype's sake i've ever seen. high camp!

wasn't kirstie alley involved in this special too, as part of her "vanessa bartholomew" character? i think this was around the time she was done with cheers - i'd love to hear her agent around this period. "don't worry, kirstie - we've got you a TV special with tony m. and the steeles, then we're going to put you in some movies about talking babies and being amish with tim allen. you'll become an icon!" lol

Yeah Kirstie Alley is a huge Prince fan. I remember her on this show with Joan Rivers in 1991 with Diamond and Pearl, Robin Power and some of Prince's female fans and the whole show was about Prince, his power over women, why he is sexy and basically that is all they talked about. Sounds like my fortay! razz
