How often do you listen to Prince?

Just interested to see if i'm not the only purplehead who gets his satisfaction from Purple sounds. My average daily UK intake is as follows :-

Tuesday July 2nd
8.00 am - 8.45am - Listen to Radio for two mins , get bored and put on Prince 'Family' sessions with Prince on lead vocals. Tap my right foot a bit too much to High Fashion , it catches the accelerator and i nearly crash!!.

10.30am - 1.30pm - long journey to Coca Cola office for a corporate presentation so really need long journey funk. Listened to Buffallo soundcheck/aftershow boot a zillion times [especially the awesome version of TEARS IN YOUR EYES], followed by the TRC cd.[Hey i do actually listen to the odd official cd now and again!]

5.30pm - 7.30 pm - long journey home, need to put my foot down coz i'm really missing my 15month old twin girls and wife. Therefore need some REAL hard funk. So put in aftershow of 1993 at the DNA lounge. Like Prince says on the cd 'cant nobody fuck with my band' Forgot how great this boot was. Felt guilty for listening to too many boots today so put in SOTT for the 2miles of my journey!.

OK i need to get out more. How much do y'all listen to him.

All day, every day!

When I get to work, I stream Newpowerradio from the internet, when I go home I listen a random cd on my discman
and when I get home I put on a random (bootleg or original)
cd.

I often try to put on some other cd´s but I get bored pretty soon and put on Prince again...that never gets boring.

PEACE.

Everyday on the way to work between 6:50am-7:00am; 7:40am-8:00am. Then at my lunch hour 12noon-1:00pm and again on the way home from 5:00pm-5:15pm. That may not seem like a lot but it really is. When I get a chance at home because I have a 6 month old and hardly get a chance to turn on the radio. But anyway that's when I listen to PRINCE.

Honestly, how often do I not listen 2 PRINCE?

I fall asleep 2 PRINCE (different CD every night)
I then wake up 2 PRINCE, because I set it 2 repeat
Pop in a different CD, listen 2 that all morning b4 I leave
Listen 2 whatever on my discman, which is going all day
When I get back it's whatever's on my computer that I listen 2.

Though listening 2 PRINCE is not all I do. Keep in my I keep myself occupied while PRINCE is running

Good Morning Javed. smile

As for how often I listen to Prince? Everyday... practically... love

I too find most other "artist" or certain CD's uninspiring (sometimes... annoying...wink)... after a very, extremely... short time..., although I do have a few that I can tolerate more than others. wink love But besides all that..., "Prince" consumes my mind on a conitnuous basis. I even find joy in burning my personal selected and most influencing favorite's, which you can only imagine wink smile... are in infinite amounts. love

Prince and his profound "musical creations" resides as a daily ritual. love And when I don't listen to "him", I am simply appreciating "Silence" and the beautiful sounds of daily "life". wink love

Beautiful Day! love

Every chance I get. For example, right now the wife is gone and the baby's asleep and all I'm doing is playing on the computer. So since I woke up with "Savior" playing in my head why not listen to it while I'm typing this.biggrin

everyday it seems...

I'll get into new cd's by other artists (i buy new music at least once a week...Amoeba baby...) and I'll listen to them until I get sick of whatever it is, but I always have a Prince disc playing whether in my apartment, at work, on the train on my commute to work, or in my car on weekends...all my friends think it's sick...and maybe they're right but the bastards always want to borrow some Prince disc or want me to burn them something...

I listen 2 something everyday, some days more than others - it depends on my mood...
I can have 1 day where I might only get 2 play 1 song (very rare), there will be other days where I don't play anything BUT Prince all day long...

The best time is when I'm dancing cuz I generally dance 2 all Prince music...

I heart Prince 4 ever !

Question2002

I listen to Prince everyday. I have my own
concerts and just go crazy on the weekends.

I haven't listen to the radio since Prince
hasn't been played. The radio is dead.

My sister will call me on the phone and play
a song and hang up. Right now Saviour is
demanding play time. cool

Not everyday at all.

I listen to "Family Name" once in a while, but not the entire TRC album. I've worn that out.

The last time I listened to an entire old album by Prince was about a month ago (1999).

I've been listening to ONA, because it's new.

...other than that I haven't listened to a lot of Prince lately.

I've been listening to a lot of other stuff that isn't Prince-related at all...a little of it Prince-influenced though.

Prince's catalog is a world unto itself, but there are a ton of other releases out there that are compelling too.

Definitely everyday! I go to bed listening to the 2cd Emancipation CD, it's mellow as hell and awesome to listen to while winding down from the day. In the car on the way to work, on my headset while at work, and when I get home I have a CD i put together of some funky stuff of his so I listen to that while I work out. So yeah, all day everyday!!

Ditto what Jasper said. Pretty much all day everyday. Let me clarify. At work he's in the cd pretty much all day. I do listen to others once in a while, but I get bored w/ that pretty quick.

At home I don't listen to him as much. Too busy and don't like to listen to some stuff w/my kids around.

People are surprised that I have Prince on my computer wallpaper at work.
I'm firmly planted in denial
