How come Prince hasn't released a remix since the Rave In2 album? Remixes used to be a great passion of Prince's (and of many fans), but either the passion has died, or he just doesn't think the remixes he's done are worthy of release.
The last single to contain a remix was The Greatest Romance Ever Sold. The last remixes to appear were on Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic (unless you consider the slight variations of some Chocolate Invasion and Slaughterhouse tracks, or the Get Wild (Miami Mix) from year one of the club, which was clearly an old remix). Black Sweat could make a great maxi-single, but as I thought about that, I realized that, based on the last 7 years, the likelihood of this is very slim... (By the way, my next post will be # 2000 in my time on the org, which makes this post # 1999 ) So today I'm gonna post number 1999... [Edited 2/8/06 6:32am]

Darn good question -- sure seems like the club would be an awesome avenue to make remixes and/or alternate takes available to the public.
:hide: I might even have bought a remix of Life O The Party had it been available... Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/
