PrintableThank God Prince didn't perform with that lame-ass Sly tribute. That was pathetic. Come to think of it, none of the performances were that good. I can't stand when sub-par live performers get standing O's for horrible performances. Maybe it sounded better live, but on TV, almost every single performance sucked. That's why we're Prince fans! Virtually nobody sounds better live, in my opinion. | |

I say, start A Tribute To Funk All Stars and get Prince to perform with Sly & The Family Stone, Graham Central Station, George Clinton/Parliment/Funkadelic, James Brown, Rick James, Zapp & Roger(Yeah bring them all back from the dead), Stevie Wonder and get them to all play songs together. My daughter was watching that Grammy performance with me and she actually asked me if Sly was wearing a mask or some sort of disguise. She looked very puzzled at me when I told her he was a real bonafide funk legend. Time is a trick.... | |
