God, I finally saw the Undertaker video

Jesus, that thing is unwatchable. What the fuck is the story line? Sure, the music is amazing, but having the music on cd is better than having to watch that crap ever again. Not surprised the video stations took a pass on showing this.

Will you discribe it?

I have never even heard the song, let alone seen the video.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

I used to have it, hardly ever watched it after the first time, that was some cheap ass shit orright. Was it filmed in his basement on a handycam or some shit like that. Although I liked Poorgoo.

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

It's not about the video(as in most P situations) it's about the music, which is very nice.
It's cool to see P in a trio setting. Worth the price of admission. Forget the "story/concept" that's not important. If anything it's a distraction.
It's all about Prince, Sonny T., and Michael B. Nuff' said. cool

The music is great, a stripped down productionless raw bluesy sound that Prince has never really done before or since, just Sonny T, Michael B. and Prince playing the music live in front of the Gold tour stage set. But yeah, the video is awful. I think there is some vague storyline about the woman being on a drug-induced trip and the awful spinning cameras and colour-effects are to show the performance from her perspective - which may have been fine for one song, but all through the performance? And that's it, there's no more storyline or conclusion. Watching it makes ME feel dizzy and sick, what's the point of that?

I wasn't aware it had been given to music stations to use as promo?....

I wouldn't worry too much about a coherent, involving storyline - The video is just a way of getting the music out (remember when Prince first said he was 'retiring' and choosing to release music through alternative media - it's an example of that, like Glam Slam Ulysses and the Interactive CD-ROM).

No point. Just Music.
Like I said and metal said it's just Prince, Sonny T., and Michael B.

Hmm, I think there's something voyeuristic about it that I like, actually.

The whole thing with the girl in the Paisley Park lobby... seeing one of the soundstages without the trimmings.... The New Power Trio just jamming away, very early in the morning... even the unnecessary staged throwup... it's druggy, it's cheap... it's quite in contrast to most of his other stuff really! When Prince shows a less-produced side, it's often fun.

It's not as great or as classic as some regard it though in my opinion... Prince has actually played much better guitar in his career... but as a well-produced rehearsal/jam, it is nice to have!

I do prefer the CD, but sometimes I have a look at the vid if I want to see the typhoon and Blue Angel up close.

.

It was not submitted. This was just P trying to put a visual to his Power Trio.

Don't pay any attention to 2freaky. The music is kick ass.

ya'll don't get whats cool about this? confused This is the one video I can show all the modern hipster emo/heroin/rocker people, and they are like wow, Prince is cool. Because of the video and audio.

Prince's imagination as to how he can market/conceptualize himself does throw entire groups of fans.... like Lovesexy did here in America.
