When Private Joy was playing on the radio how come we never heard about Susan before and When Doves Cry was hugely popular, it was never mentioned that the song was about Susan and I never heard Susan ever talk of this. I do remember Apollonia saying that The Glamourous Life was a joke about her and I will add yet again that it was Apollonia not Susan that was Prince's leading lady in Purple Rain. Shit Susan didn't even say any lines in the movie, at least Brenda had one line. Plus the first person I ever heard of Prince being engaged to was Susannah, now that was in the press whether he flaunted it or not. Never heard of Susan, I never heard about him and Vanity being engaged. I'm dealing with reality. Prince was not into black women back in the day. At least not in the forefront.

I don't know what Susan's racial background is, but she looks bi-racial like Mani and Vanity...so even if he did date her back in the day, she was still the typical type of woman P dated.

Susan's background is 100% BLACK plain and simple unless proven otherwise which is a picture of her and a white mother or father She's black and she LOOKS black.

Susan was cute but apparently she was not typical because Prince would've had her up there on with Vanity, Apollonia and Jill Jones. As a matter of fact in all the these post I'm making I forgot that Susan was even included as one of Prince's women in the issue of Ebony magazine in early 87. Some of you know what I'm talking about the issue with his large picture in the center and his women on the left and right which were Vanity, Apollonia, Sheila E., Jill Jones, and Sheena Easton. What, no Susan? Hmm. What a surprise.

To many people who worked for P have said that Susan Moonsie was one of his lady friends back in the day. In fact this story has been going around since DMSR came out. What is your issue?

Like the other poster said Prince was the one who gave her that nickname so therefore only Prince knows the answer.

I saw them last Thurs. in NYC and girlfriend worked her butt off. She has a strong voice and had the dance moves to back it up. I'm hoping she's successful because I'm tired of the same old talentless pop stars. But those twins have got to go. They're distracting and from what I could gather can't sing very well (but they can dance). They also seem eager for the spotlight. They are definitely twins (I got to see them up close) - they have a striking resemblance to Bratz dolls.

Because they can't sing well, their dancing is distracting (not in a good way), they aren't that interesting to look at, and if they weren't twins there really would be nothing special about them. They are there to provide T&A and even their T's & A's aren't that great.
