One RUMOR. 1,500 people find out about it within 48 hours. Story changes each time. Seems like bout a thousand of them all "claim" to be in the front row to see it.

This rumor made it's way by the "Kat's meow" is all I will say. It started from one person's mouth. How "purple" are you really?

O.K., you wanna know Takumi's side of the story?

Frank, the big guy who was on stage ALMOST every single damn night, went up to Takumi & told him about this rumor.
Takumi said it did not happen.
He said Prince was trying to get his attention apparantly while he was restringing one if his guitars n Prince tapped him on his left shoulder, NOT HEAD!


Takumi said if Prince EVER did that to him, he would quit right there on the spot.



His own words! Of coarse, the people who believe this rumor would say "of coarse he would say that"

It sure did not seem like he hit em is all I will say. I was not front row but I saw where Prince got frustrated n was trying to get his attention.

oh course this was so stupid and the fans just do it to really get an answer from the performers.

I'm glad you posted this in its own thread because this falsehood needs to be shut down before it goes any further.

Of course, those who have nothing but negative things to say about Prince will be back tomorrow with some new half-assed "scandal" so it's only a momentary respite.

This whole story blew up the day it happened - believe me!!!

It was all over Paisley Park that night!! AND IT MADE IT TO PERKINS IN NO TIME FLAT!!!

There were some nutty fans spreading that story like wildfire.

Some people must not be getting the attention they need. It's sad, too, how quick people are to believe bullshit. To the ones who started this, I hope you're satisfied and got what you wanted. Too bad it had to be at someone else's expense, huh?

I heard the rumor the next morning. I could see were there was tension but I didn't see Prince hit Tacumi. I was on the second row (by the way). Honestly though, I don't see Takumi letting Prince hit him. He kind of seems like a no-nonsense type of guy.

I was standing right next to Takumi, yes he was stringing the guitar and missed like 2 cues from Prince for the guitar.. and reached down, didnt tap his shoulders, and didnt didnt smack him in the head, but DID harshly but his hand around the back of his head and said forget about it! and then continued singing It aint over! and marched off stage with the fams he had on stage.. Annie and the other kids, RheRhe from Chicago continueing to sing.. it aint over. and Prince was singing Yes it is over!
