So what is up with U Make My Sun Shine/When Will We Be Paid? I found this laying around my room this morning and was always curious, was this a single? an ep? or what is the deal with it? I dig the fact that it has a 'reverseable" cover (to say the least.) Please help me out with this..Thank U!

that was around the time he released a series of "hit'n'run" cd singles that were mostly sold at concerts, but were also sporadically released to wrecka stows...i found a stray copy of this single at a wrecka stow too...all of the singles wound up as part of the 'chocolate invasion'/'slaughterhouse' collections available for download at NPGMC.com.

Except for When Will We B Paid?, which wasn't on either collection. Great shame.

I just came across an extended version of Sun Shine which has this nice, little jammy ending. Both of these tracks are so underrated."Sun Shine" has one of my favorite vocal performances (and just puts this Tamar silliness to shame)

I seem to remember the copy I saw being in a slimline jewel case - maybe America/other territories released it in a card sleeve? I'm unsure on this one as I never bought it. But you're probably right, so I'll rectify that now...

Prince made available 'U Make My Sunshine' / 'When Will We B Paid?' to US radio on 13 February 2001. It was followed with the video, and despite some airplay made little immediate impact.
The coupling was then offered to independent labels and Wingspan Records picked up on distribution, issuing it with snippets of songs from a group on their own label. At about the same time, Prince made available 'The Work Part 1' via Napster, and also started making available the "Hit 'N Run" singles ('Peace' / '2045: Radical Man'; 'Supercute' / 'Underneath The Cream'; and 'The Daisy Chain' / 'Gamillah') at concert venues and Paisley Park during the 2001 Celebration, until stock sold out. A coupling of 'U Make My Sunshine' / 'The Work Part 1' on CD single was then made available for purchase via the NPGMC online retail store. So, as far as I know, the three CD singles with 'U Make My Sunshine' on are: 'U Make My Sunshine' / 'When Will We B Paid?' NPG Records 2000 Released 2001 Card slipcase 'U Make My Sunshine' / 'When Will We B Paid?' 1. U Make My Sunshine 2. When Will We B Paid? 3. Throw Dat Leg Up (Snippet) 4. Sweet Punanny (Snippet) Tracks 1 and 2: NPG Records 2000 Tracks 3 and 4: Wingspan Records 2000-1 Tracks 3 and 4 by Track Squad WS 00102 Released 2001 Jewel case 'U Make My Sunshine' / 'The Work Part 1' NPG Records 2001 Released 2001 Card slipcase . It was going to be the first single from 'High', but Prince decided against
releasing the album in the end. The tracks ended up getting used as downloads in the first year of the NPGMC. Later on they were used on the Chocolate Invasion and Slaughterhouse compilations. Most of the tracks on these albums were originally intended for Prince's 'High' album or The NPG's 'Peace' album. He released 2 singles from each project... Prince - U Make My Sun Shine 1. U Make My Sun Shine (featuring Angie Stone) (5:52) 2. When Will We B Paid? (4:07) Prince - Supercute 1. Supercute (4:12) 2. Underneath The Cream (4:00) New Power Generation - The Daisy Chain 1. The Daisy Chain (6:15) 2. Gamillah (3:16) New Power Generation - Peace 1. Peace (5:34) 2. 2045: Radical Man (6:36) .

Does Prince know this? I always found that to be so horrible, the material they chose to promote on a "Prince" record. I mean Prince ain't God, but come on, give the man a little respect. My name is Prince and I want your money
