First of all, we don't have to resort to name calling, do we (LOL)? Secondly, you are barking up the wrong tree with those comments...I am not one of the Prince fans who go around attacking folks who show the slightest indifference to a new Prince song...My post was more of the lines of finding out if you are the typical Prince fan on the Org that dismisses Prince's R&B base in favor for a more rock oriented sound...In fact, here is a past post that I wrote about the subject... "Newsflash people:You are allowed to dislike any song you want...Hell, you can hate the fuck out of "Black Sweat" for all I care...But if you are going to rationalize your hate for "Black sweat" by saying it's as lazy as say "Sex Me..." or any of the post 90's funk work, you are not listening with unbiased ears...Just say you don't like Prince's straight-no-chaser R&B work and I can respect that...Say that you want him to rock out or experiment, and I can respect this as well...But just because the man is showing his funk/R&B side doesn't mean he's uninspired...it just means you are not willing to face the fact that Prince doesn't easily fit into one box..." That's all....if the comment does not apply to you, my fault...But I can assure you I'm not trying to kiss Prince's ass...now Halle Berry, that's a much cooler scenario... | |
