Thats the thing for me...if you like his rock stuff only then at least like the good stuff. I love how Prince does so many different styles well. Its why when I took on listen to the opening synth to Fury last Saturday night and smiled from ear to ear...I knew the rest would be rockin. Its that kind of ear that allows me to seperate a Fury from Cinamin Girl. A Purple Rain from Gold, a Kiss from Glass Cutter..and yes a Black Sweat from Sex Me Sex Me Not

I wish more people would understand this point (Bravo...and thanks for the kind words...)...Newsflash people:You are allowed to dislike any song you want...Hell, you can hate the fuck out of "Black Sweat" for all I care...But if you are going to rationalize your hate for "Black sweat" by saying it's as lazy as say "Sex Me..." or any of the post 90's funk work, you are not listening with unbiased ears...Just say you don't like Prince's straight-no-chaser R&B work and I can respect that...Say that you want him to rock out or experiment, and I can respect this as well...But just because the man is showing his funk/R&B side doesn't mean he's uninspired...it just means you are not willing to face the fact that Prince doesn't easily fit into one box...
