I'm trying to read through these 2 main threads on Black Sweat but I can't find the info yet - is the single out or what?

isn't it odd that Prince fans seem to like Black Sweat better, but Beautiful, Loved and Blessed is actually getting more airplay. It's the #1 "taking off" on urban AC

well, i think BL&B is getting more spins on Urban AC right now than Black Sweat is on all of the other formats combined.

But, I'm not missing your point, in fact, BL&B is #444 on the Urban hit chart and climbing, as well. Still, Black Sweat is being added to several video channels this week, as well as most likely iTunes and with a retail cd and 12" on the way, it's the "hit" that Prince hasn't delivered in over a decade.

By the way, Call My Name was the #5 song on Urban AC for all of 2004 and that song still wasn't considered a "hit".

Black Sweat is really starting to pick up steam i really dont remember Musicology being added to so many Rhyth/chr or Urban stations like Black Sweat is now

Yeah, Maz ...Musicology the single got only a handfull of spins on Urban Mainstream and Top 40 Stations it did go to #7 on the Urban AC chart. But the radio attention thus far for the 2 singles on 3121 is far out pacing Musicology.

yea, black sweat is starting to take off - and those markets are bigger. It still would be nice to see it getting added as quickly relative to market size as BL&B is on Urban AC.

You know, as I was in the elevator at work this morning, I was looking at the screens that flash news headlines....

They actually mentioned Prince and the purple ticket marketing scheme in 3121. It was very interesting to see that.

Its getting good airplay on Kiss FM.

Black Sweat is so funky my grand mother 75yrs. Turns it up and sings along "working with the black sweat". This song is sure to be a hit! I can't wait till i'm at the club and can buss the hard moves.

I'll keep on screamin like a white lady!

This is only counting MTV & VH1, the main channels, not MTV Hits or VH1 Soul, just the ones with the most subscribers/viewers, i.e. more impact.
