But the retail version of Te Amo Corazon was just 1 track. I think it's ridiculous, and Anx is most likely correct - it's a ploy to get people to buy digital downloads. They've been systematically destroying the physical singles market for years. If they are gonna release it on CD, they could make it worthwhile - otherwise they should bother and just save on the manufacturing and distribution costs and just serve it up as a download. - Yes, it makes sense...but as a fan, I don´t like the concept of ´download´...it´s cool to hear on iPod, but I want the physical Cd (with artwork) to put on my Cd-player and shelf also. It´s a shame that during the Warner days, we had several B-sides (some of them better than album songs) and today, we don´t... [Edited 2/3/06 17:27pm]

I'm very excited about both of these. This is gonna be such an interesting period for Prince.
As for art, the photo of Tamar is beautiful. I'm not liking the "Black Sweat" art, though. And the fonts on both are pretty obnoxious, IMO. [Edited 2/3/06 19:48pm]

But I dont remember the other B-side...could somebody help? Thanks

The two downloads "Silver Tongue" and "United States of Division" were billed as b-sides. Wasn't "United States..." also on a Cinnamon Girl CD single?

Magnificent was the virtual b-side for Musicology.
United States Of Division was the virtual b-side for Cinnamon Girl. Silver Tongue (Demo) was the virtual b-side for Call My Name. No b-sides, virtual or otherwise, for Te Amo Corazon...

don't forget SST had Brand New Orleans as a B-Side too, which makes it a shame that after 4 straight singles with b-sides it looks like the next THREE might be one track bloody singles!

they could put old npgmc tracks on as b-sides and they'd still sell more than they will as one-track singles. just seems like a waste of easy potential. they should at least scale down the price and sell it as a cheapo 99 cent single in stores, with a cardboard sleeve or something. just seems really silly and impractical all around.

I "PURCHASED" my copy of Prince. Te Amo Corazon from Ebay. Thinking it was legal 2 do so..After the single cd arrived I saw the Big Red Sticker on the front that says:
This compact disc is the property of the applicable record label and is being provided for PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY...Resale is unlawful and may be punishable under federal and state laws.... PLUS other :.FBI Anti-Piracy, Unauthorized copying etc.Warnings printed on the Artwork. I believe this is exactly what it says: "For Promotion Only"...And someone decided 2 make it a $$$$$ maker !!!! Prince is not short of $$$$ or songs and can definitely afford 2 record something on the B-side...He has been known 2 give away complete CD's 2 every single person at some of his concerts, sooooo why change now..????? Are there any details online (or on the CD singles, for anyone who has them) of who played on each track, and who wrote/produced the songs? I'm guessing BLB was co-written, although perhaps it was solely written by P.

Promotional copies are sent to radio stations - there is no need for a b-side. Most promo cds have only one song. Either the radio station will add the song to their playlist or they toss it & it ends up on e-bay or sold in some other manner. When you buy promo cds you usually only get one song. Prince isn't doing anything different then any other pop musician's record company has done for years.

The Universal label is quite visible on Princes CD; but I can't make out what it says on Tamar's. Are we sure Universal is releasing her CD as well? My name is Prince and I want your money

I've seen higher res scans of the front and back CD covers as well as the CD labels on HQ and Tamar's CD is definitely on Universal as well. Interestingly enough, the back CD cover of "Black Sweat" has the NPG Records logo, but Tamar appears to be signed directly to Universal despite Billboard reporting that Prince produced her entire album. In that sense, the Tamar project seems to be a throwback to the original "Starr Company" proteges like The Time, Vanity/Apolloonia 6 and Sheila E. who were signed directly to Warner Bros. before Paisley Park came into existence. Also, the copyright and patent indicia on Tamar's CD (indicating ownership of the recording) doesn't read "Universal Records" or even "NPG Records" but instead reads "Ashley Tamar Davis". BTW, the credits on Tamar's song reads "written by Tamar & Prince, co-lead vox: Tamar, all instruments and other vox: Prince. There don't appear to be any producer credits. http://www.housequake.com...adid=57967

PP6 stated:
Prince and Támar cowrote "Beautiful, Loved & Blessed" and share lead vocals.
All instruments and other vox on both tracks by Prince.
