This Machine Gun song by Hendrix that Prince covered; I have no info on this. I dig the song, but don't know when, where or why this was done. I could go uptown and search, but I wanted to search with you....whooo.

This cover was played at Paisley Park, 04/04/1998 at a late night (early morning?)show beginning at 3:45 am.They were a lot of covers in this show,like
Elvis Presley's"Teddy Bear", Hendrix's"Villanova Junction",Tower of Power's"What is hip ?" and Joni Mitchell's"A case of U".

I think 8up refers to the studio recording that was made available as download from the club in whatever. Why he did this I don't know, maybe just for fun?
But I'm sure it was recorded AFTER John Blackwell joined them, because the drum fills especially are really him and not Kirky J.
