Sleep around Thoughts on this song orgers? I kinda like it..in a way...ofcourse not one of his cooler sounding songs but fun to dance to. I really like how Prince would think up such a thoughtful subject matter regarding a woman's happiness. But the lyrics read like Prince talking to another man about why the woman left him for Prince.
What do you guys think? | |

it's one of the trax I put on my own 12 song version of Emancipation. The jaming at the end reminds me of the good ole day like on IWBYL...how the album version jams for forever.

Oh really? Actually I thought the song went on a little too long. But I don't feel that way about songs like IWBYL, ICNTPYM, and Pink Cashmire just that one.

A woman's happiness you say, eh?
I guess I could try everything once.

I like this song.
(Yeah, he's talking to the guy). I like the sly lyrics: "Baby let me read her journal or should I say she turned around and it was gone." "The innuendo reads eternal or should I say on every other page I'm on" "When she comes to cook YOUR dinner, you can ask if what I say is true. The truth will remain within her, but her shade of red will turns yours blue." So. cold. Don't even mention the "in your bed smelling like a falling star" line. so funny ... the sentiments remind me a little of the "Marrying Kind" theme.

Its actually quite an enjoyable song. Havn't played it for years, but can still remember it well. Hmmmmm, i may play it again.
It has a euro/latino vibe if i remember? Like it would be played at opening ceremonies at the olympics or something?

great track..a little too euro dance. Only he could use that title and have the song mean something entirely different.

I've always liked this song. It has a great hook and could have been a hit imho. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I love the Oprah Winfrey show version. About 8:15 long with a Cool intro before he sings. About 1:40 of jammin. The last 3 minutes are all jam with "Beautiful" (from TMBGITW single) guitar lick. Never really dug the song before this jam.
Anybody remember that?
