i'll buy the cd of the 3121 album, even if someone shoves a free bootlegged cd-r of it under my nose. it's just how i am with my prince albums...gotta have the real thing, bought in a wrecka stow.

i'd buy this from iTunes if it were part of a single with another track, or even if the iTunes version was longer. if he's smart, this advance version is shorter than what he'll be offering as a single. if that's the case, you bet i'll buy it.

I agree with ANx that it needs to be worthy of buying. Give us a remix or a b-side or sonmething extra than just the song.

It was absolutley done on purpose. The powers that be know what going on on fan sites. The exec's and P know what there doing. Why not give a 3:11 song for free. Get a buzz going (albeit short time before SNL). I know I'll tell people too watch now and turn some of my friends on to this song. They know it's a good song and will do well.
