Was Prince on SNL in 89 performing "Electric Chair?"

Was Prince on SNL (Saturday Night Live) in 1989, promoting The Batman Soundtrack/Album and performing? Because this clip says it is from SNL. It is dated 1989. He is performing "Electric Chair." If this info is correct, did he do any other songs? eek

Here is a link for the Electric Chair performance.

Yeah, that's him.

That episode was an anniversary special.

He performed "Partyup" in 1981.

Who else but Prince gets to do these notable things? And who else but Prince actually does them up right? Opening a show with 50 bangers on stage, with hip-hoppers rapping over their own track (without the smarts to even take the lead voice out of the track) is what this country's music business has come to. No substance at all.

The singer on the left (of screen) is Margie Cox.

Behind her - and also to the left is Patrice Rushen on keys. (Matt Fink plays keys to the right)

I remember that! I was in college watching it live. I LOVE the synchronized dancing!! Old school Prince-style! Why doesn't he do that anymore!!? That performance gave me new appreciation for the song.

Glad all you guys dig it... cool
The Batman Soundtrack is my favorite P album, so when I saw it I loved it also!

I searched online how to save youtube videos to your computer and here is what I found..

-----
Every video posted in YouTube (www.youtube.com) has its own video identification name.

For example, “Mz-bg6IjHbQ” is for the video titled “The Yes Men – McDonald’s and World Trade Organization”.

To watch a video, the URL is shown as:

http://www.youtube.com/wa...eo_id_name

To save the video, first change the URL to:

http://youtube.com/get_vi...eo_id_name

* Notice the difference in the URLs. Instead of “watch.php?v=”, it is now “get_video.php?l=165&video_id=”.

Save the webpage. Since most web browsers would automatically default saving the page with .html filename extention; it needs to be changed to .flv (Flash Video) filename extention.

* The best way to save the file is email the modified link to yourself and use the "save link as" function within your email program.

Flash video players like Martijn de Visser’s FLV Player can play .flv files fine.

To convert .flv files into other formats, such as .avi, .mpg, .wmv, .mov, or .rm, use CinemaForge.

It is also important to mention that each time video format is converted; the video’s quality would change.

If anyone has information about how to save videos from Google Video, please feel free to comment.

I'm not a computer wiz, but i really wanted to save some other files from youtube.com

OPen the video you want and in the address box highlight over everything before the video ID starts with "=". Paste over that with http://youtube.com/get_vi...5&video_id so that the the = is the next charactor. When the save prompt comes up switch the drop box to "all files", rename the file and add the extention .flv

What browser are you using, because I am on IE and a save prompt doesn't come up automatically. I have to go to file>save as...but for some reason it's not working for me after I complete all the steps. What program do you open it up in once it's save?

Hot performance! I'd never seen that before. I love that he went all Daisy Duke and tied the ends of his shirt together.
