Feeling kinda Low??

Man, does anyone else feel really bummed that the Celebration is over? I really want to be back there. So many great people, so little time to meet you all. It really was an amazing experience.

Prince, thank you for the performance of a lifetime. I will never forget that week...

C U all in 2003.

Peace

Michael

I wish it wasn't over also Michael. It was fun but too short a week. I hope Prince does something maybe in November or December for all of us again. That would be great! I know I'm always asking Prince for things. It would be so great.

i feel sad that it's over, too. i had the time of my life at the Celebration, both because of Prince and his music, AND because of all the great people i met and had so much fun with.

I really miss everything and Everybody. Even when I unpacked It smelled like the hotel. I can't wait to go back to Mn. This was the best celebration ever. I don't know how anyone could criticize Prince about the celebration. He was amazing and did more for the fans than was expected. What a beautiful night everynight turned out to be. Especially the night the ac was broken.

Yep... 250*1500 is 370,000 approx. Not a bad little earner in one week huh?

It does look like this Celebration is turning into a profit Venture.. but hey thats Capitalism. Supply and Demand.. the tix sold out. Maybe next year it will be $400 dollars.. im sure it will sell out again, as im sure Prince has 1500 rich fans amongst millions in the world.

I think the event should reach all fams.. not those with the fattest wallets. The ppl there are Princes most loyal fans who have probably bought every single Prince album.

Its a shame that money is a factor.. but does it need to be? Tix last year were $70 werent they?? And if the week is all about *love* why stamp $250?

A years membership is already $100. Surely as the writer of his songs, he his making a mint from Royalty alone??

Maybe its just me. At anyrate, I feel PAIN that i wasnt there to experience this event. It sounded like it was absolutely AWSOME! Im jealous i didnt get to go, I have to say.

$250 is damn cheap for what we got people. It sure isn't about the money for Prince. But he does have to cover costs. Man, it costs $250 to see the Rolling Stones for one concert nowadays. Prince played 7 unbelievable show, as well as amazing opening acts and day events. That is incredible.

Just don't get greedy next year Mr. Nelson. $250 is fair. Anything above that is plain #%^%#

Thanks again...

I know I became somewhat depressed after coming home. THe PP experience was mind blowing and undescribable.

The people, the place, the music. Don't get me started.

Just glad to know that I'm not alone.

Peace Yall

I too have got the blues cry

It's not so much about Prince, but truly about the people I'm missing.

Now, don't get me wrong, P brought us all together for the week and provided some AMAZING musical moments throughout.

Still, when all was said and done, this week quickly became more about the people I was experiencing it with.

Now that we are scattered across the world again, I'm feelin a bit blue. sad

But, I'm also happy as hell that I was able to get myself and my ca$h together and go. It was well worth the money and the initial confusion caused by the club.

Many of the bigger acts make 370,000 just from one show...lol...making that much from 7 shows isn't really all that much, especially considering that figure is before expenses...

Purplehouse, where do u get off saying that it's all about the money? How do you know? So people with money don't care about anything else?

I think the money was just the icing on the cake. Prince had money before June. He genuinely connected with us, thanking us over and over again. His staff reportedly told us how happy we were making him. He showed us!

So to think that he didn't feel "something" when it ended would be very unrealistic.

Let's be clear, Prince had to pay everyone (or at least some) of the people who were there. Londell McMillan is an attorney and I'm sure he charges by the hour. Tavis Smiley isn't just going to slide into Paisley without getting paid. On his website www.tavistalks.com he lists his booking fee at $20,000 for a 30 minute talk. And I'm sure Mr. Smiley didn't do this for the publicity because Prince doesn't get much mainstream publicity. He got paid.

I said all of that to say that Prince could not have been putting on Celebration for the money.

I cried on the plane trip going home too, xitlai, so I know exactly how you feel. I was thinking to myself, "I hate Ohio, and I don't want to go back". It would be great to move to Mpls, not just because Prince lives there, but because Mpls is such a pretty city.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I didnt say it was about the money.. Some one else brought it up saying hes feeling alot richer. i just think tix next year shouldnt go up even more thats all. Admittedly i didnt even go so i cant judge it. I would have loved to have gone and been there...

I think i would have felt *at home* for one week in my life as i only have one friend who actually digs Prince as much as me. Sounds like it was worth every penny!

Peace y'all

It's not about the money at all. I had the time of my life and I'm already saving up for next year. We had to travel from the UK too but there comes a point where you just don't worry about the money anymore. I have to earn it just like everyone else but sometimes you just have to treat yourself and say 'what the hell'. I hope Prince did make a lot of money from that week. If it means he'll do it again next year then I hope he made a fortune smile
