Best years

What years do you think were Prince's best. I think all his years were good, but his best I think were: 78, 82, 84, 87, 92, 95

Essence

The 80s had that magic spark, when he was at his freshest and most inspired.

90s-now have seen him improve his overall skills, maintaining a high standard of work but with less innovation and less mainstream appeal.

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown

I would have 2 say '84 Purple Rain, '87-'92 Signs 'O' Times; Lovesexy; Batdance; Grafitti Bridge; Diamonds & Pearls & prince, '96 Emancipation & '99 Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic. That was the best years for him in my opinion those years his look was great as well as the music. But I must add that he's looking mighty good these days.biggrin

1980-1989, he was more creative with his recording then. Backwards messages, backward drum beats, funny inserts here and there, etc.

The 80's had the most prolific period of songs. But I got to say that I love the way Prince has grown with us as an artist over the years. Every album marks a period in his life and mine.
