Family name a progressive funk rock anthem

If you dont like this song you dont like goodmusic in my opinion. I was hearing this morning after some time, and this song is one of the best songs prince has ever done. it rocks, grooves, still it´s pretty. it is not the simple pop song, has lots os things going one. What are yoru views?

i can go with 'prog funk' for that song, if it had to be given a label. like anything else on TRC, i think it's better heard live, but i just listened to TRC for the first time in a while last night, and there's really a lot to be said fo the sound of that album. if prince were ever to merge the crowdpleaser pop stuff he's been doing with the energy of an album like TRC, i think he could have an instant classic on his hands.

It's certainly one of the best from TRC.

I love it but of course I'd like it a little better if the sermon at the beginning was a seperate track.

I separeted the track with soundforge and burned TRC again. Now the track starts a second before "mirror mirror" part. That akashic records BS is kinda boring.

It took me a while to get into TRC, but this was one of the few tracks I took to instantly. I liked the first half and everything, I thought it was cool.
