Ball!! Shake the weakest peach! This is one of my number 1 favorite songs Prince ever recored. I bet if it was released it definately would've been a hit! Who else agrees? it dont mean Ure wrecked jus cause me tallywackin sucking is all U want. all it means is that the one that come b4 me never made U come. | |

I really don't think it's hit material. It's interesting but, also, a bit bland and quirky, imo. Of course you do know that "Eye No" is a rewrite of The Ball with new lyrics, right? | |

"The Ball" is the peak of Prince's creativity in my opinion, it has the most surreal, yet funky, epic, mix and texture of sounds... like a slow motion dream. Those rolling glass bottle type percussion touches do me crazy good.

I get SUPER hyped everytime i hear it. I blast it in my car and sing it as loud as I can sometimes when I'm driving late at night back to my campus. Makes me feel like I'm giving this awesome live performance or something whenever I sing along with him in the song. It is a quirky little jam, but would have not done well on radio ....the average listener cannot get into it...gotta be a Prince-fiend like the rest of us... Stand Up! Everybody, this is your life!
