Prince has a Salsa Party/Golden Globe Party? Report by Violet Brown Was just reading the the report by Violet Brown over at the npgmc.
The 3121 Report: The Golden Globes (xcerpt) A day and a half later of trying to equalize my sleeping pattern, I mused to the chef, "Do you think there will be a Golden Globes After Party? No one knew. I sat in the office and began to organize my work when I heard voices and phones ringing, "Get Charles from William Morris.. get that list now." "Who's in town for the Golden Globes? Get that list from Dvora". Oh no he didn't. Another two and half days notice! There's no way! Golden Globes is a serious thing. People plan that stuff MONTHS in advance. Again? Monday night. 11pm sharp. Or rather, 10:57pm. TICHINA ARNOLD in an amazing Parisian chiffon sparkling sheath.. "Oh hello!" , she said, "CHRIS ROCK is right behind me, can you show him the way?" Why yes of course, I replied. Once Chris arrived, it seemed all of Hollywood followed. PETER JACKSON and his New Zealand clan, ADRIEN BRODY, SALMA HAYEK, MIA MAESTRO, PENELOPE CRUZ, TERRENCE HOWARD, BOTH FOXES, RICK AND JAMIE, EVA LONGORIA, NATALIE PORTMAN, JESSICA SIMPSON, MARIAH CAREY... hold on let me take a breath... CHRISTINA MILLIAN, TAYE DIGGS, ANANDA LEWIS, ALANIS MORRISETTE, COMMON, EVA MENDES, MARY J BLIGE, EDDIE MURPHY (AGAIN!), NAS AND KELIS, ERYKAH BADU and who knows who else! I mean -- seriously, Prince! Thank goodness the house is, as one guest observed, a "palatial modern maze" and could accomodate hundreds more. Dj was bumping in the disco, Johnny Polanco and his salsa band jamming in the ballroom and classical music in the foyer. It was LIVE at 3121. There was so much activity in every room that I... (rest of story in the premiere issue of 3121 available in retail soon.) -- VB WoW.. Guess there is going to be an ISSUE of 3121? And you might want to read Pete Escovedo report on 3121 Hi Everyone, This year has already started out with a bang: The biggest party of the year, Prince's Golden Globe Awards afterparty here in Los Angeles. Prince threw a Salsa Party for all of the entertainers that were there, such as Jessica Simpson, Jamie Foxx, Chris Rock, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, and many more. Everyone who was anyone was at this party. Salsa band leader, Mr. Johnny Polanco, played with his Big Band Orchestra and every entertainer, actor, actress and performer was either up on the couches or on the dancefloor, no one was sitting down. The band grooved so hard that even Prince himself joined in and called my daughter Sheila and I to come up and play. But, of course, the best part of the evening was to take a picture with the beautiful and talented, Salma Hayek - my favorite movie star. I think I died and went to heaven. The party lasted all night until the sun came up and even then no one wanted to leave. It was a great and exciting party, all in one place, under one roof partying like there was no tomorrow. I will post more news in the upcoming weeks, until then... God Bless, be safe and keep real music alive. Thank you to all of my fans which have truly touched my heart. I appreciate you. Musically Yours, Pete Escovedo And here are the pics; http://www.peteescovedo.c...oup-6.html Some really cool pictures

LOL! I know! Who needs a magazine? I want a damn invite to the parties!! they SHOULD do a podcast and offer it for free on NPGMC and for a small charge on iTunes. it would give another incentive for people to join the club and it would be a way to have a "magazine" with live music clips from the 3121 parties. after all, weren't the "NPG ahdio" epidodes just early versions of podcasts?

Oh I agree!! And I've suggested as much over at the club. VB's cool and all, but I don't want to READ her reports! I wanna see and hear what's going on for myself and get my own experience out of it. "I mean -- seriously, Prince!"

These Violet Brown reports r always a frustrating read, I mean the name dropping of William Morris people, the chef and who's Dvora, whoooo cares get 2 the point. 4 the record I think Downtown Julie Brown could write better than this. [Edited 1/19/06 9:04am]

HST was a brilliant writer. This 'Violet Brown' is a strugglin' Dr.Seuss meets Princespeak via the 80's Julie Brown (as someone pointed out).
Or maybe its Esperanto? I cannot get excited about this few and far between 'Oh look who can come to P's house, isn't he famous and fabulous?' dispatches. Now, if he invited, you know, normal folks in for a viewing party of his new album? Yea, that would be cool. How many copies of your new album is Eddie Murphy going to buy? His boyfriend will probably illegally download it for him. Ha! If he is such a spiritual creature, why does he care so much about having famous friends and throwing them parties?? Maybe he is talking to them about Jesus? Something tells me no. Love wins. (Seen on bumpersticker)

i'd be more excited reading a story about zelaira hanging out with prince than i would be about reading a story about jessica simpson and whoever-the-hell-else.

They way they are reported? via a report? hey...I'm not diggin' the writing style so much either..but sounds like sour grapes to me. thanx for that podcast description btw "not a fan" yeah...ok
