our destiny and roadhouse garden..

again today i listened to the recordings of these two songs and still can't figure out why our beloved prince didn't put this out on an album in the revolution period. they are truly great songs. the melody in 'our destiny' is just brilliant. and 'roadhouse garden', well to be honest.. the title alone makes me happy (why?! i don't know).. and the song, as simple as it may be, is just phenomenal. these two songs are classic to me, even with the crappy sound of the recording.
again, too bad we've never been able to get our hands on a studiorecording. maybe that 'roadhouse garden' project from 1999 will see the light one day.. keeping my fingers crossed.
don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine
purple music does the same to my brain
i'm high, so high

I love these two jams..they both have great melodies. They sound like what he called the avante purple Revolution vault material. I like the chug a lug melody to RG.
"Climb in my fur."

Yeah great music! But, I am beginning to think Prince thinks less and less of his past recordings. I just hope the real deal old original recordings are still in the vault, and he has not redone them or cleaned them for bad words or otherwise. Sadly the more time that goes by, the less likely I feel these songs may be released. I hope Prince goes over them and releases them as is, but as history has shown with the Crystal Ball CD set, he would probably tinker with them, over dub and change lyrics for content... For historic purposes and for cool tracks like Roadhouse Garden and Our Destiny" I hope Prince leaves them be and they are released as they were created off levels, bad words and all... peace
