Qu'estce qui t'arrive ce matin ? Un petit coup de mou ?

Je m'attends à quelque chose de commercial mais bien mieux produit et soigné que Musicology. Mais rien de révolutionnaire ! smile

A ciao !

A+

LOL!!!

Now dude, I told you over at the quake, stop making 'predictions' based on what some guy who claims to have heard the album (and he might well have) told you. You're not really shocking anyone here with your bold statement that 3121 will be Musicology part 2, ie utter shite.

besides, everyone has different tastes. people called The Rainbow Children
a piece of shit after hearing it at the celebration.

ok, a lot of people actually think it is, but me, personally, i think it's
his best album since "The Truth". so everyone likes different things.

an whatever he churns out, it's bound to be entertaining. i can't be all
that bothered with what it's gonna be like or if it's a classic.

I think more attention has been put into the 3121 project than Musicology. If you listent to TAC, whether people like it or not, there has been clearly a lot of work on this title.
With 3121, I expect a commercial album but very well produced.
I don't think it will be another NPS or Rave ! Hope so anyway...

I predict it will sell 3121 copies retail but go double platinum because he'll include it with concert tickets again.

I'm just playing, P. I hope it is HUGE!

i have no investment in anticipating a crappy album, being a fan of non-crappy albums myself and also as a believer to some extent of self-fulfilling prophecies.

so it'll be whatever it is. i predict an album with some songs i like, some songs i don't like, some songs that will grow on me, and some songs that i'll get tired of really quickly.

kinda like every other damn prince album i've ever heard in my life. lol

well all of us have our opinions on the man and his music 4sure...i tend to believe this is the first time in years a release has been so close to being released and no songs have been leaked out or heard before the actual release. im hoping that universal heard something they think is good and will put a lot behind the project it certainly seems to b party oriented in my opinion due tue all the things weve seen associated with 3121 thus far...cant wait to see where it goes.

I predict that some fans will think 3121 is a terrible album. Some will say that he needs to be funkier. Some will say he needs to rock more. Some will say he needs to swear.

I predict some fans will say it's the best thing since TGE.

Seriously, I predict it will sound different than Musicology, but still pop.

Only thing we know is that all of those who have heard the tune "3121" itself said they just loved it.

I'd say the "Musicology Part 2" tag is kinda close to the truth.

Personally, I'd say '3121' is to 'Musicology'
what 'prince' was to 'Diamonds And Pearls' (kinda)
cool

EVERYONE or nearly will love the title track. Its funky. Like Erotic City meets Lady Cab Driver. or something.

The album is good, but not great imo. Still, I've only heard it once. So it may have the qualities that Anxiety stated.

I think it makes the post-release hate much easier and it allows the usual suspects to validate themselves by saying, "I knew this was gonna suck"

Oh well, same shit... different album... lol

I predict those still looking for Prince-the-Genius-who-transforms-American-Music will be increasingly disappointed with each release, with the occasional semi-return to form, until they either quit or realize Prince is now best appreciated as a craftman rather than a pop wonderboy.

That won't work this time. After Musicology, Billboard re-wrote their rules about that kind of thing. I think The Cure tried to do that with their last album, but Billboard didn't count the concert copies.

For me, that's all I'm hoping for as well. I just didn't really listen to Musicology much. In fact, I have yet to hear the whole cd from beginning to end. I probably never will either.

I just hope that those "listening to the whole cd in one sitting" days aren't over, that's all. Hopefully, I can do that with 3121 and enjoy the ride better.
Let there be funk, and let it not be overproduced.

Musicology is a very easy sit "though all the way" CD. It's short and the music is decent enough.

N'yeahhhhh....I don't know. It just is a little too slow for me at times. That's all. I like a lot of tracks from it, but it's just lacking something that lets me sit through it from beginning to end.
