Just curious if any one here at the org ever went to any of those open today shows concert he did. In fact did any one go to any of prince's tv appearances he did over the past years (such as leno, letterman, oprah, ellen....and so on).

Went to 2 Today show appearances in NYC also went to Letterman and saw him do DINNER WITh DELORES. My Friend said DOLPHIN was IMPOSSIBLE to get into but saw Mayte she said Running down the block after Prince's Limo.

i attended the second one ... in may 98 (!?) ... it was very cool and i would additionally say that if ANYONE that you like - be it Mariah , Hillary Duff or anyone ... goes on the Today Show concert series --- you should attend .... it was well worth it .... best seats i ever had (stood) but if nothing else - it was very interesting watching the whole gig (from setup to soundcheck to performace and after performance, etc ) ....

i was at the today show concert where he played w/ larry and chaka.

We got there at like 3am. At around 5 am Prince did a Soundcheck this was with Larry and Chaka. It was so much Fun....The show went on and the Outdoors Feeling was ENORMOUS...So Many people there....It was Summertime so it wasn't Cold. I saw him do ZANALEE and SAME DECEMBER..Inside Rock Center saw George Clinton got him to sign my Poster. For the SNL 1989 we couldn't get in but we waited outside and followed him to Nells . We used to see him at Nells all the Time. I even attended the Graffiti Bridge Premiere Party and later went to the Club he was suppose to be at but wasn't..Instead he showed at NELLS and We didn't know he was there but these girl's went he's Here in the woman's bathroom.I said WHERE? They said DOWNSTAIRS sitting on the floor and U can't see him...Sure enough as I ran Downstairs I was checking around and Bam...in a Corner he was sitting On The Floor Bodyguards around him...After awhile Robin Showed Up.... They were dancing and we were STARING like Mad at him..I couldn't help it...I just Loved Him.... We never meant to Scare or Bother him.,,,,Then I snuck in to the PRET A PORTER Event..First I snuck into Radio City when he was doing the SOUNDCHECK and we just watched for 2 minutes before he saw us and had us Escorted Outside. LOL...We later Snuck In....LOl...I also saw the VH-1 Fashion Awards with him and Mayte....Also, got in from a Friend....The band was sitting nearby..It was amazing.... Then attended the GQ Man Of The Year when he presented to Chris Rock. If I could have been to more I would have but my Health wasn't always Good. Yes, Prince Knows me as I have Tried to see his Shows whenever he was in town... Never meant to Frighten just wanted to be at his shows. Was Upset we couldn't get into some MTV stuff and something else just for Record Industry and also Upset we couldn't get to the hARLEM GIG his Publicist Never gave us a Break. She was Mean Jessica Brenner and didn't Realize we were Diehards,...We CRIED so Much....I just wanted to Watch him Play..He is the BEST... So Now U all Know....Zel, Just wanted to See Prince Play and ya had to follow him back then cause he Never told ya he would do an IMPROMPTU PERFORMANCE...Once at Nells Michael Bland did some Jazz stuff but I can't Remember if Prince ever did. Since I don't write stuff down in Diaries. We used to be outside his Hotels and be at his Afterparties. Not always getting in but listening by the door to hear the music. It was the Best. I even heard his Soundcheck in SUNRISE back in 1993 cause I Lucked out somebody told me he was there rehersing....I have always been so Into him and his Music it's been Great....I'll Never stop being a Fan...

I also went to his Ny aftershows at Roseland,USA, WWF... Saw all his Jam showsin NYthen drove to Philly and Boston and saw those and even saw the aftershows. Crazy stuff we did driving to Boston and Philly. I saw him in 1993 at an aftershow at LE LOFT just by Chance. I Knew all the time where he was staying his Limo and Bodyguards told me...I followed his Limo in Florida to his Hotel even tried to get a Room but None under 2000 dollars..The magr gave me tea... Forgot the name of the place near the ocean in Miami... Wish I wrote everything doen. I even heard he was in Ny forgot which year at some club and I got there went inside a guy took me in and bought me all these drinks. I was dancing while he was in a room with LENNY just talking...I Always KNEW Or FELT WHERE SEXY Was. Also in Miami he was at 2 Nightclubs Other ones not Bains but 2 other Nights he was at this place we went to. We sat 2 seats away and they blew the candles out. Some girl was having sex rightnear us as Prince hung with some Chunky Blonds who looked Similar to me..All girl's drinking water and him a Coke. Later that evening we were eating at a diner on Washington Street the nPG was there ..Prince's limo came by..Rolled down his window. My ex Wouldn't Stop Staring..Prince decided probably would create a Scene and drove away. I fought with my ex telling him he made Prince go away Hungry cause of his STARINg..Prince couldn't have his Scrambled Eggs. Needless to say....I broke up with my ex cause he was JEALOUS of PRINCe and JEALOUS of ME and MY SEXUAL APPETITE FOR PRINCE....He Claims Prince Dug him MORE Than Me cause Outside RHINGA ROYAL PRINCE spied him a LOOK. Well, I told him Sure You were wearing my BETSEY JOHNSON CHIFFON TOP and he Wanted It..I Never heard the End of it....

Have been to the last three Leno shows. Fun to be at, but just a tease when it comes to hearing only one song!!!! The good thing is that he was in town and did "spot" shows after all these tapings. The show that he did at the Hollywood Palladium (Hit n' Run tour) after the Leno show in 2002, was one of the best that I have ever seen in Los Angeles!!!!

that's what was so cool about the 98 Today show (and i guess the other Today show also .... ) -- after the 2 songs or so that you saw on the Today show ... he kept playing for like another hour and a half .... it was neat to witness ... set up ... soundcheck.... today show ... after today show ...

when they started doing the today show from 9-10 am ... one of the reasons i read that they wanted to do that was because the performers that performed between 8:30 and 9 just kept playing ... not sure about other performers or not ....

i credit the 98 Today show with getting myself back into Prince as a performer ... after seeing the 97 show in baltimore i really was kinda gettin old of him ...
