87 laments is blown away by Sabotage's "Sign O The Times Live"

Lovesexy 88 is blown away by Sabotage's Live In Dortmund 1988

The Black Album / Crystal Ball: the black album is officially released and the crystal ball part is of very inferior quality!

It's time to update your boot-collection!

though actually, since i acquired 'testament' a couple of years ago, i don't have a lot of need for most of my studio bootleggage...i love my copy of 'dream factory', though, because i can pretend it's an actual official album...in fact, i have it filed with my officially released stuff, between 'parade' and 'sott'.

THE BLACK ALBUM HAS BEEN RELEASED OFFICIALLY YES THIS I KNOW. BUT IT WAS A BOOTLEG FOR YEARS AND IS THIS BIGGEST AND MOST BOOTLEGGED ALBUM SINCE THE BEETLES. AND MY COPY IS THE BLACK ALBUM AND CRYSTAL BALL TOGETHER NOT INDIVIDUAL.
PLUS MY BOOTLEG COLLECTION IS OVER 200 CD'S AND UNKNOWN VINYL. SO I DON'T THINK I NEED TO UPDATE IT.

AND ALONG WITH THE FLESH 4 FANTASY (PURPLE RAIN) CONCERT, THE ABOVE MENTIONED ARE SOME OF THE BEST QUALITY. brick

THE BLACK ALBUM AND CRYSTAL BALL TOGETHER: the soundquality of the Crystal ball songs is INFERIOR!!

87 laments really is blown away by Sabotage's "Sign O The Times Live"

Lovesexy 88 really is blown away by Sabotage's Live In Dortmund 1988

Flesh 4 Fantasy is very inferior too Sabotage's Purple Rush 5 ....

You need to update your collection and your knowledge:
The boots you mentioned are all re-released in superior quality!!

That's totally rational, but I think the point being made is that the sound quality/sources have been vastly improved since the early bootlegs

I've made a bunch of tweener albums in that era between '85-'87.

Around the World in a Haze
Charade
Crucial
Dream Factory
Camille
Crystal Ball

it's fun! biggrin

the whole point to this is "top 3 bootleg cd's."
and in my collection those are some of my top 3 fav's that i play all the time
so for that ignorant asshole, to post a rely about my post and needing to update my collection had nothing to do with my oppinion. if he felt the need to go into some rant about those aren't good quality recordings then he has way to much time on his hands.
but like they say, ignorance is BLISS - so when ya changin yo name fool.....

or .... you could react like:

"thanx Thataintfunky, those are my favourite boots. I would love to have a superior version of these boots"

... but I guess you won't be interested?
I mean, those new releases are really much much better soundquality-wise.
You won't believe your ears when you hear those newer version ...
but I guess you don't wanna hear them?

greatings,

are The Work volumes
considered to be bootleg?

if so, the first disc
of Vol.1 is definitely
in my top 3

"Wouldn't You Love To Love Me"
is my EVERYTHING right now! biggrin

I have compiled my own CDs
of various outtakes &
b-sides & extendeds
which they have no names
so I can't really list those

Hey tripp if you enjoy those 3 bootlegs the most then stick with them , every bootleg release seems to be re-released and re-re-released in "superior " quality every few months , and some people love to look down their noses at anyone who doesnt have every damn bootleg in the best quality possible .Ignore them . If youre happy with what youve got thats all that matters .

My 3 faves are:

Neon Rendezvous
Testament ( DVD )
Budokan

...for today anyway.

#3 'YELLOW'
- LOVESEXY AFTERSHOW: CAMDEN PALACE, LONDON (26th July, 1988)

I prefer this to the more complete 'Driving To Midnight Mess' version, as their 'inspired editing' leaves a lot to be desired and sadly, detracts from the performance. This is by far still my favourite aftershow, it's a spirited and passionate show.

#2 'OSAKA '89'
- LOVESEXY TOUR: OSAKAJO HALL, OSAKA (12th February, 1989)

This contains both the afternoon soundcheck (a full run-through of the entire show) plus that evenings show - it's a superb document of the Lovesexy tour, in absolutely mind-blowing soundboard quality.

#1 'SPANISH HAREM'
- NUDE TOUR: ESTADIO VINCENTE CALDERON, MADRID (22nd July, 1990)

Originally broadcast on Spanish FM radio, and with the exception of some edits to remove the DJ's voice-over inbetween some songs, it is (in my estimation) the best sounding Nude tour set out there, and brings back some great memories.

merci!!

I won't too sure about that
that's why I said if
it could be considered a bootleg
because some of the shit
from disc 1, I had already

I don't have any legit Prince bootlegs
all my shit comes from different collections
