Black Sweat - Here's what to expect

I have the acoustic version of the song, live from the Musicology tour.

the song is a out and out funk song. The main theme is dancing and sex. It has a similar groove to Musicology, Sex Machine & Sexy MF. The rythm guitar is outstanding. It does have a guitar solo. The song is punctuated with varius screams and moans. The live version i have is only acoustic guitar and voice. I expect the studio version to have much more texture... i.e. bass, drums, synths etc.

Could it be a hit?...
Yes, but that's up to Prince to decide. With the right promotion, this song is a big Funk/RnB hit. But if it gets no promotion. it'l be another "Call My Name" "SST" or "Greatest Romance" (Forgotten gem)

The acoustic version lasts 3:58

"I don't wanna take my clothes off... but i doooo"

"I don't wanna turn nobody onnnn... less it's u..."

"I don't wanna dance too hard... uh... but this is a groove!"

"I'm hot, and i don' care who knows it...i got a job 2 do..."

"Workin'!... workin' up a black sweat!
Workin'!... workin' up a black sweat!
Workin'!... workin' up a ahh.... AOW!!"

I'll thank you anyway. Much appreciated. Sounds like Black Sweat could quite possibly be a hit. Calling it "Black Sweat" definitely won't hurt it's chances of cracking the R&B charts. Lets hope it does well. BTW, I too love that picture of Prince and Tamar. Great shot.

That's not Tamar. According to NPGMC it's Celestina.

lol No, not really, i just mean it's got a steady funk beat. The rythm guitar is very dominant and funky so it's more like sex machine.

Yeah kind of. But this is more "Prince" if u know what i mean. but please bear in mind, all this info i have is based on the acosutic version. I have not heard the full studio version. i'm sure there will be more 2 it, and hopefully it'l be even funkier.

Damn another James Brown-type song again? When is Prince going to stop making the same type of song? It's as frustrating as him releasing ballads as his first single. When is this man gonna stop and just do Prince and no one else?
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Those are the lyrics from the acoustic version. They won't be the same on the propper version. They are just a rough draft.

That chorus sounds like it could another boring Musicology-like JB tribute deal where there's just zero hook.
