everyone knows my computers slow, totally infected with viruses but somehow i managed to do hq.com and watch prince grammy award 1985, purple rain time. i didn't watch the whole thing, only the start... it was wierd enough that they only had 3 nominations for 'black' artists. the catagory, people and they show tina turner, what's love gotto do with it... she's totally over-joyed and then they show prince who looks angry . prince won for when doves cry(the best song) but they don't mention that it was prince and the relolution. that's all i had patience for. maybe winning the grammy's started the major change in prince's attitude toward the music-biz. i'm not sure.

Prince performed "Baby Im A Star" at the Grammy's 1985 and "Purple Rain" at the American Music Awards 1985.
