seriously though, i dont have any wendy and lisa stuff even on my walls..but i do have prince's Crystal Ball and his One Night Alone box set on my wall shelf... and for those who actually listen to girlbros radio they can attest that i actually play as much prince (the good stuff), seal, neil finn and aimee mann (plays w/ chris bruce and married to mother of pearl co-writer michael penn) as i do wendy and lisa... i love quality music, period..it just happens that more peeps here like to discuss/discredit wendy and lisa then talk about the latest tracy chapman album..or the beauty that is sade..bjork..or swingoutsister...if peeps created as many threads on those artist as they did w&l then i would be posting responces to those just as much as i do the w&l threads.. now, i know this thread was all tounge and cheek and what not but.....please, not at my expense. Mostly practising with some devotion there, I have a life too, but Prince is great by itself, belonging to Prince.org is a bonus, because u can share ur views on stuff that most people dont know. I believe Prince has a very deep spiritual side he likes to keep inside.
I believe to know that depth. I don't believe prince as in a religion. I am a deep spiritualist myself, and this is in such a way that I feel Prince and I are spiritual brothers. There is no deep darkness that drives this light. Just a believing in a active god and that everything will turn out alright... News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop. | |

More than praticing but not 100% devout. I don't get my feelings hurt if you don't like my favorite songs but I will judge you if you say you're favorite song is a complete mainstream hit (e.g. Purple Rain or LRC) or you don't know Prince is no longer  .

Some fans really do sound like they have a Prince shrine and would gladly take the pulpit to preach the Paisley gospel. I've myself defended his work with a respectable amount of zeal, like any real hardcore Prince fan is suuposed to.
I've come to categorize fans' level of orthodoxy in pretty much this way : PRACTISING This is the kind of fan that loves Prinve's music but it's not like they have to like every single thing he does or orgnote naysayers repeatedly. They always get the new album and attend his concerts when he's in town. This is me. But I have to say I only attend concerts when it's convenient for me to do so. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
