Overdubs on DAYS OF WILD CD - WTF??? Just got the Days of Wild joint live from Montreal and there are overdubs all through it!
Being a musician i find it interesting on how Prince can't stand to just put a live 'RAW' recording of himself...he's gotta take the live recording and overdub it with backing vox, instrument overdubs, etc. Just wanted 2 get other ppl's opinions on this... Don't get me wrong...this version still rocks - the addition of the 'SOUL MAN' lines is too damn funky!!!

Have you heard the Live EP from Npg Records? 5 live songs with no overdubbs just pure Prince and the Npg. This is directly from Npg Records and it's not a bootleg. Fantastic! scotherd@aol.com | |

yep...I really was surprised at the over dubs..??? and after a great week at the celebration meeting all kinds of new friends from all over the world, and prince saying we need to overcome Xenophobia, and come together as one...to hear "all you sorry americans up against the wall" really kind hurt...like a slap in the face...but...since he too is an american...I guess he's referring to himself as well.

The overdubs do lose the 'live' feeling of the song...even the studio vox at the very beginning sorta put it slightly off centre...
BUT..what's this NPG Records five-track live sampler ??? Tracklists, venues, ANYONE ???

I HATE Prince for this CD!! How DARE he give away this freebie! It's got studio overdubs on!! The packaging could be better!! He didn't give the CD to fans overseas!!!
