beyonce is having a shoe line now
of pumps

one of the styles will be called "paisley park"
which, as much as i DESPISE her, i might look in2

does anyone else know about this?
do i smell a lawsuit?

unless Paisly Park sold shoes.... he would not have a case. Well he might be able to say that because they sold clothes that shoes are a kind of clothing... hummmmm...

Paisley Park is a Trademark but NOT for everything. They have to register the name as a trademark for each kind of item they want to use it for. So his trademark would prevent it its use for musical instruments (as they fall within the basic music area) but would not for say ice cream or shoes unless they included food items and shoes (and shoes my fall under clothing) in their registration paperwork for the trademark. (And it may not even require a trademark but only that they USE it for that kind of item.)

There is also a rule about is it something that is going to cause confusion among the public.

i wouldn't go as far as naming them paisley park but

prionce probably knows AND allowed it. After all, in 2004 when he sang at the Grammy with Beyonstank, it was stipulated that the only way he would agree to perform was is she sang with him.
