WinMX is there since Napster was still there. While all the wannabe internet people went to Kazaa (adspycrapbloatware) and Audio Galaxy (Never understood why people liek that slow webinterface and adspyware), WinMX was still outthere.

Current version 3.22 has some small nugs, but there is one one thing about WinMX:

THEY CAN'T CLOSE IT.

So get your copy and download and SHARE all this Prince stuff on it. Dig?!

Got DOW off WinMX - pretty good except that last 60 seconds of feedback/noise/whatever.

Audiogalaxy had by far the largest selection of music. Not even Napster could have competed when it was at it's peak.

WinMX rules! Kazaa is full of spyware and so is Morpheus. Audio Galaxy used to be a great source of Prince tracks, but now it's over. I also didn't like the slow interface.

But WinMX is just great. A nice feature is being able to browse another users files. Once you've found a rare track, you just browse his/her shared files and see what other goodies are there to be downloaded. This way I found the 2002 Buffalo and NY aftershows and completely downloaded them within one night. I just love the Internet!!!

WinMX is cool I guess, but I ain't finding shit with it...nothing. What could be the problem?

Calldapplwondery, I think you use an old version of WinMX. You should use version 3.22

use kazaa lite, no spyware only the goods!
