And what is that percussion sound that comes in every other measure on the "&" of 3? It really makes the groove.... sounds like a distorted tom tom or conga??

I absolutely love the 12" version of this song. The piano chords make it work for me.

I don't think that sound I referred to is a snare though.... If anything, remember Bobby Z used ot have 4 little bongo-lke drums mounted in front and over his kit? I tihnk they might have made these sound.

BTW, Pepper do you have the credits handy? Did Suannah co-write the words? I always thought she might have since she's singing all the BG vocals and the expression "you need ____ like you need a hole in your head" is a common Yiddish expression and the Melvoins are at least part Jewish.
