America the beautiful did prince ever perform the song 'America the Beautiful' on any bootleg recordings? i have a vague recollection of somebody talking about it once. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks. | |

Prince references and quotes from the piece on 'America' on both the album and extended version: America the Beautiful O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties [quoted on the Extended version] Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee [used on the original album recording] And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!
