Ok I know society has changed alot but do you remeber when you first saw the Kiss video? What did you think of it? It must have been a big deal back then to see Prince half naked dancing with an unwear clad woman. I remember drooling over his body like mad. What were you thinking when you first saw it?

It was really Hot seeing him bare chested and all with his sexy self and I liked the short do. I thought he looked AMAZING....The Bod was HAPPENING BIG TIME.....SEXY..... The Girl was Cool....Dug the whole Scene and dug him over her and kinda Sexing wit her. Sexyass vibe going down..Ultra Cool Swing and that Wendy was strumming and groovin and it was so Jazzing...It just was a Party On Good Time Dance Song... Loved his VOICE.....KISs.....

I wasn't alive back then, but it because an instant fav of mine when I first saw it. Still a quality video.

I remember it came on Good Morning Britain at about 7:30am.I was dead exicted and i think my dad was worried for me. "He sings like a wee woman ..blah blah blah".

The first time I saw that video, I loved the dancing, but thought P had too much of a Bela Lugosi look! I'm talkin' a VAMPIRE effect. WAY too much makeup... that's what I thought!

And also, I thought he was going to say "You don't have to be rich to be my bitch." I was so relieved when he didn't.

I loved it. I had to get used to him singing in the falsetto voice, but I loved it. I remember seeing that video like 6 times a day between MTV and BET. He looked so cool dancing around with that chick and the interaction between him and Wendy was great. Fun times.

I thought it was LAME. I really liked the song, and the video, to me, was a let down. I guess I didn't like how I couldn't see the girl's face and I wanted more of a storyline in the video instead of Wendy playing guitar and Prince and mystery girl dancing around. I don't know what happened over all those years, but now it's one of my favs.

I was about 4 years old and watched it with my mom all the time on MTV... I was confused at the time seeing a guy singing with such a high voice. And then during the low parts, it showed the female dancer lip-synching. That was really weird to a four year old

And I kinda thought Wendy was a man... I mean, at that point, all the gender rules went out the window...

I wanted to know who was that lady dancing with prince. There was not that much of an outrage when the video came out.

I think it's a really understated video.

Just very pure and I think that sits very well with the song.

Kiss is a great song with a very gentle rhythm to it.

It's a lovely video -- basic and simple.

The KISS video was awesome. I guess I felt like the rest of the world was getting to "See" or experience what those of us who were already into Prince appreciate. That doesn't make much sense the way I wrote it, but somehow seeing him and Wendy like that kinda just summed up the whole Revoluation era.

Ther'es been several threads on here about the identify of hte dancer (supposedly it's 2 women, one for face close ups and one for body shots; not sure if it's true).

I still think Sussannah was in at least one of those close ups with sun glasses... dont' care what anyone says

i watched the video in the 90s since i was too young to see it when it was premiere.

anyhoo, when i seen the video the first thing came on my mind was whoa! what a change. prince and wendy had their haircutted short and plus i thought the dancing girl was appollonia--keep in mind a week before i seen the video for the first time, i had my mindset on the purple rain era as i watched the movie and seen when doves cry video dozen of times.

like the video but not one of my favorites.
