What type of crap is that? Now you see why all churches are the same in my book. ----- No we don't see. Churches are types sell items for charity.

Just FYI, the white cloud had dots like the black with plain neck one, the peach one had spades and one had dots, the blue angel had dots, the black one had dots another one had bat logos, the yellow one had dots and later symbols like that electric blue one... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

But he did... Beach and Clarke we're hired to make some replica's (yellow and eletric blue) to sell at his NPG stores and 1-800-New Funk after he played a bit on them in rehearsals (that's how they were advertised when they were for sale...) Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

I've been trying to check out "PRN Music Corp.". If the State of Minnesota has a Corporations section where officers and directors of corporations are listed, I can't find it.
So I Googled "PRN Music Corp." and came up with a couple legal things. The first link took me to eBay, where I was told a search for "PRN Music Corp." returned no matches. However, the link that Google turned up did seem to reference a court case - "prn music corporation v. county of carver rnews rochester sloarwinds" but I couldn't find anything else on it. So then I Googled "PRN Music Corporation Minnesota" and got another legal link: http://ccnmtl.columbia.ed...umbia.html This appears to be the appelate courts judgment in a copyright infringement/song stealing case. There is a reference to a supporting case entitled "Nelson vs. PRN Prod., Inc." I can guess who "Nelson" is. What court got out of this case was "Therefore, copying can be established by demonstration of access (by the alleged infringer) and substantial similarity (between the works at issue)". Hmmmmm. There's more. Later in the summary, the Nelson case is referred to again. "As we stated at the outset of this discussion, in order to survive summary judgment, Moore must not only demonstrate access but also must establish a substantial similarity between his work and the alleged copy. This court previously has addressed the substantial similarity element on summary judgment. See, e.g., Nelson v. PRN Prods., Inc." It sounds like someone ripped off Prince, both musically and in the name of the company. This is a fascinating document. It references all kinds of lawsuits between artists and others. Also, one of the expert witnesses was David Rivkin, who we know better as "David Z.". The funniest part, though, is the dissenting judge's remarks: " have played the tape which contains the two musical compositions and although I do not know the difference between be-bop, hip-hop, and rock and roll, the tunes all sound the same to me. This may be because I have no ear for music other than reflecting my generation's preference for the more soothing rhythms of Glen Miller and Wayne King or the sophisticated beat of Woody Herman playing the Wood Chopper's Ball. Obviously judges have no expertise to resolve this kind of question -- which is why jurors should tell us whether a composite vote of reasonable minds can or cannot find similarity of expression." Who said the law was humorless?

I found the information on the "Nelson vs. PRN Productions" case. It seems it was Prince's half-sister Lorna Nelson suing Prince, his father John, and his half-brother Duane over "U Got the Look". Lorna had written a song called "What's Cooking in this Book" and claimed that Prince had lifted certain lyrics. She lost.
She was bummed out that she couldn't take Prince's deposition, but according to the appeal, it wouldn't have mattered.
