Honestly I haven't purchased a Prince lp in 13 years. I'm still a fan though. I'm more about the live show now. When I heard Rage Unto the Joy Fantastic I honestly couldn't pick it up and purchase it and I was hoping something big cause of the Arista signing. So I thought I might get a Prince lp again. And it's been that way ever since. Only reason I have Musicology is because of the tour, haven't picked it up since. He is still is a great musician though, but I enjoy his eighties and early 90's efforts these days.

I can agree with that. And as far as I'm concerned, While his cd's over the last couple of years didn't exactly knock my socks off, I always found 3 or four songs that I liked. I'm sure there will be some on 3121 also, But TE AMO CORAZON isn't one of them. After that, people grow up and become boring and tend to scoff at his newer work - "It's OK, but it's not as good as SOTT" etc. Unfortunately these people can never re-create their youth. Without an open mind, everything he puts out will be dissapointing. What we don't realise now, is that there is probably (hopefully!) a huge new breed of Prince fans that had their first Princely experience during the Musicology era. They're just starting out on their journey without even realising it. In 5 years time, the org will be full of them... "Musicology was the greatest album and tour he ever did... his new alum ____ is crap compared to Musicology"!! Oh, and for the record, I'm down with Prince for life... but I've said that about other artists in the past that I now don't care about, so who knows! [Edited 1/11/06 15:44pm]
