Anxiety

America is young. Compared to other countries, we're a baby. We have a long list of growing pains to come. A lot. A WHOLE lot. And I would count that as a good thing.

Many P-orgers say that they don't understand what french or spanish (or else) artists sing. Don't worry: many of the world's fams don't undersatnd any word of the US or UK Pop stars too!!!
This example is to show you the vanity of americans. But after September 11, ENRON and Worldcom, and propbably unpredictible worries for the so proud and so-called democratic americans, has America reached a point of no return, a decadence? Just like the antic Roma? Catholics and sects, porn industry and schild exploitation, black and latino stars and deep racism (against arabs, IE)? Are you really what you pretend to be? I suppose NOT. That's why Prince seems to prefer France, Spain and Canada…

We endured through civil wars, slavery, and a whole bunch of other more drastic events which Enron, pop stars, and the porn industry pale next to. Would you rather be living somewhere where people blow themselves up daily? Business scandals and porn aren't specific to America, they happen all over. Places like Amsterdam are in many regards more decadent.

If there's ever a demise to America, its when one group of religious folk decide they own the country, and the rest of us supposedly free, tax paying people, have to abide by their faith which is intertwined with our laws.

The Question should be:IS THE WORLD DYING ?
We all from the western "free" world think we got the knowledge and the truth. Do we really?
Our 'free world" is ruled by corruption, greed, lust, egoism. There is really something wrong, but can we stop it?
When will we see that country, race, religion is not important.
free ur mind

I sincerely hope the days of the nation state are numbered. I would say that in 100 years most nations will have amalgamated into a world super-state. The growth of communication technology will soon make a world direct democracy economically feasible. People will soon wake up and realise that most of the world's population is being royally screwed in the ass by the corporate elite, and will take appropriate action. The slaves will become the masters, then together we will free the galaxy and begin the construction of the quantum computer based supermind that will be known as GOD, and this mind will surf the cosmic foam, uniting with similar beings from other dimensions until a continuum of LOVE and eternal ORGASM has become the totality of the universe. However, I could be wrong smile

oneYes

american "leaders," especially post 9-11, are pushing XENOPHOBIA in a big way, not just based on nationality or culture, but on social class of people. Many of you mentioned the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer (hopefully some of u heard Dr. West and Mike Dyson speaking on this at Paisley) and it seems totalitarianism is what the "powers that be" have in mind. They are fearful of anything counter to their plan to control it all. But we know man is not fit to rule, and the government is a perfect example of this. Do you really feel represented by your representatives? Hmmm.
it IS time for a revolution. So check out the word revolution, and let it revolve. Come at it from the right and u get (k)no(w) it u lover. This is what it's time for - divine love and unity in that. As the government tries to pull our true Leader farther and farther out of the mix, it's up to us to stand firm in love. love will lead us all.

You know what I get so tired of seeing everyone bitch and moan about the condition of this country. Everyone wants to point out it's flaws and make big speechs about what they feel needs to happen to correct everything. Well guess what it's time for every american to remove their heads from their asses and stand up for their country. Stop complaining and start campaigning for what you want. Speak your minds or scream but try to get your voice heard. Alot of people sit on thier butts complaining and use the excuse of "What difference can I make?" Well not much if you don't try. I would rather live my life voicing my opinion (weither it is ever heard or not) than sitting by and doing nothing to try and make this a better country for my daughter. We the people are in charge. We elect the officials. They do work for us and if enough people stand up about the issues they will listen. As for the racial and moral standing in this country, it is our job to start the changes in ourselves and our homes. You can't blame today's goverment for the hate people have for each other. That ultimately is our fault.
Sorry(sort of) about the rant.

Lots of love to you all.

And u r??? Lets see...ur profile says "an Australian in South Korea"? LOL...no comment.

Suddenly it's become very trendy 2 ignore the obvious brutality and side with people like the Palestinians simply because everyone wants 2 appear sensitive and compassionate by rooting 4 the world's underdogs.

And if u dont know how Muslim extremists recruit poor, young, Muslim boys by exploiting their situation...u better ask somebody...

The U.S. is a very stable country, even post 9/11...anyone who denies that is simply hoping 4 its demise because they feel their own country is inadequate in comparison 2 ours.

Much easier 2 call us out on our sins...than ur own.

peace...!

Excellent point, I agree, ultimately complaining nonstop will drown you in negativity. One certainly has to try to make a difference.

To make this thread Prince-related, wasn't "America" referring to a country that may be preferable to a communicst regime, but that was no piece of cake itself?

american government sucks!

So...name one that doesn't?

I dare you to find another nation past or present that deals with so many issues and problems and STILL manages to keep a stable living for its citizens. RACISM - yes, we have it, and as a Hispanic I've endured it...but the government isn't razing my house down w/ bulldozers. POVERTY - yes, there are children living in roach-infested projects, but they have access to health care and schooling & aren't digging through garbage dumps for clumps of half-eaten food.

We are not dying. We are growing, and suffering the ills of a maturing nation. One day we'll get it right.

Well allow ME to make a comment;

Funky is an Australian, (who's government still treats Aboriginies the way our 19th Century government treated the Native Americans), AND he's making a living in a land which WE shielded from communism and nurtured into a economically & politically stable nation.

And he is hoping that America dies? Maybe Funky's been smoking some Koala dung.

America´s situation, with all bad things, is still a lot better than almost every country in the world. Latin America is facing several problems of urban violence and unemployment, and Africa is still very poor.

If "all you sorry Americans" knew half the shit your moronic US Army guys got up to here in South Korea and Japan , you wouldn't be defending them I tell you now
but of course you never hear about it because they cover it up, adn this is not one of those retarded conspiracy theories, this is just plain truth that I see almost everyday here

Koreans die regularly from negligence from US Army here in Korea, WHY? because they know the won't get punished so why should they give a shit !
