It's O.K. I would assume it was recorded around 1990, kinda sounds like Monkey Business and Serious Effect. I don't think it really sounds like Prince, but it does sound funky. Do you have the entire song availible for download?

Hot track but it's more of a MJ track and hardly reminds me of Prince at all. BUT sounds like it could have made a nice duet. My name is Prince and I want your money

What? U didn't hear the funky guitar lick or the soaring riff at the end? I think that part is very Princely. No, sorry I only have the 40 sec clip of the demo. Only the $$$ can make me happy...Unless you think otherwise baby!

This sounds like one of those outtakes from the "Dangerous" sessions.
At the time he recorded tons of music with tons of producers,(Babyface, Jam & Lewis, Brian McKnight.) Most of the good songs did not make the cut and were given to other artist, i.e."Joy" was given to Blackstreet. It's a shame that songs like these ended up on the cutting room floor. In my honest opinion, Michael needs material like this....It shows a more funkier side to him. one day something could get released that would freak us all out. you never know!
Wouldn't surprise me if something saw the light of day one day anyway, duets were common as hell back then. i've always felt this 'rivalry' was a media created thing anyway and that both MJ and Prince saw there was mileage in it.

It's not entirely impossible something already got recorded between say, '83 and '90. something nobody knows anything about as yet. As for their voices probably not complimenting each other, theres a lot of range available there.

I wonder what constitutes TONS of music for someone like MJ? That track was typical MJ, though. A bunch of words slathered together, repeated over and over and over again.

He's right. At the time if "Dangerous'" release, there was an article about it in Rolling Stone, mag. It said that he had written over 100 songs for the album and recorded about 70 of the songs that he had written. Some of those songs ended up on that boxset, that he released last year. While others have yet to see the light of day. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

It does remind me of Prince a little, and that's a nice track. I wish P and MJ would've collaborated on something...anything, they could've just shared a pack of sunflower seeds in the park and I would've been happy

aside from the snare and kick sounds themselves (and the voice), this is very prince like.

whats your personal opinion
do you think if he releases more it will be another invincible or do you think his next work will be something great? I think Mike shud hook up wit the neptunes, that wud be slammin! Mj was offered a meeting wit DEFJAM records president La Ried last summer but no-one actually told him about it so he probably missed out on a great oppurtunity. Mike is an amazing entertainer both musically and commercialy so I personally don't have any doubt that Michael can come back with some great music. Only the $$$ can make me happy...Unless you think otherwise baby!
