I remember one time they were talking about autographed guitars and Stern said if he had a guitar he'd wanna have it autographed by either Eddie Van Halen or Prince.

I remember awhile back Howard Stern was at some music event (could be the MTV awards) and he was calling people over to seat down at talk to him. Ricky Martin was cool about it and talked to Howard. Later on Howard mention Prince and called him a jerk .

I can't see it happening. Prince likes interviewers to play by his rules, and he expects to be treated like he really is royalty and not just named for it. He'd never let someone like Stern who'd try to get the upperhand or deviate from the pre-approved sanitized questions interview him.


That's too bad, really, because it'd be great fun to hear.

Howard is still super cool... Prince, although an incredible songwriter and musician, is not nearly as cool as he used to be...

But look at it this way - Howard, a complete liberal, used to love Prince's music from back in the day because Prince's music used to reflect that type of mentality...

There's a reason why some of us don't or can't listen to The Rainbow Children... although the music is phenonmenal, the lyrics are so fuckin off the radar that it makes it completely unbearable.

I could imagine it. IF only Prince's so called great sense humor would kick in! and if only he could just relax for a minute...and not let howard make him mad....laugh at the jokes instead of get upset with them.
Anyway...If Prince could go on as a Musical guest...which usually consists of a small interview, and a music segment I think it could work. I've heard some AMAZING music performances on howard's show....and he is a Prince fan... I think he would be interested in hearing Prince play in his studio more than getting too much out of him. this would be a DREAM come true for me.

Howard has his good points too. I admire his honestly he just expresses it in the most exploitive and tackless way for ratings that he just irritates me. It would be worth it to see Prince tell Howard to fuck off I think.

Interesting thread, Krys...Dig, I've listened to Stern for years. He's mentioned SEVERAL times through the years that he adores P as an artist. The song Purple Rain is the only song on earth that can bring tears to his eyes. Howard has said that more than once. He thinks P is an underrated guitarist. That being said, there is NO WAY Howard would disrespect P once P set down in that chair. Once P was actually in Howard's pressence, he would treat P as the legend that he is. Sure, he would would ask P about his women and so forth, of course P would decline to talk about that and Stern would move on. It would be a boring ass interview like all of P's interviews cuz P's not giving up shit. But Howard wouldn't come at P any other way but with respect.
