Forget the 80's, Prince is peaking NOW!

A bold statement yes but in my eyes very true. At this point in time his creative juices are in overdrive, his connection with the hard core purple heads is simply beyond belief, he is playing wish list sets, his band is now finally on a par with the Lovesexy band and above all the music is great. He seems very happy and relaxed and we are benefitting from it. I've just listened to the Buffallo sound check and afterparty and these along with the others available on boot this year show Prince tobe totally 'DEAD ON IT'. Welcome to the dawn. His guitar playing has never been better and , and , and !!!.God i wish i was at the Park.

I agree.

I think both 'The Rainbow Children' and 'One Nite Alone' convey a stunning return to form. Unfortunately, I believe that the greatness of some of the songs on 'One Nite Alone' were diminshed because they were previously avaliable in Year One. It lessened the collective impact of the disc for some listeners. (Remember the buzz here when we first heard 'Pearls B4 the Swine' and 'A Case of U'?) But I find 'One Nite Alone' a very cohesive and solid work. It has some very strong material on it and like 'The Rainbow Children' it sounds unlike anything Prince has officially released before.

Prince's fanbase had been asking for a piano Album from Prince for years and he has truly delivered. The new set-lists also seem to cater for the fans. Prince has a fantastic new band and he appears completely re-energised.

I believe that 'The Rainbow Children' and 'One Nite Alone' Albums easily stand up in comparision to Prince's work in the '80's. If anything I think they are better.

I think we are in for a treat over the next coming months, with the cd's that Prince will send to us. I'm only guessing here but I think we might get a live aftershow on cd plus some other concept albums. I'm really looking forward to what comes next and I have to agree that he seems to be really feeling the music at the moment.
