How would it look/sound if Prince got really dirty again with his texts?

No more don*t let me sleep on the couch pleeding, but the "open your mouth and let me **** you" kind of stuff of his youth.

Don*t know if I would find it funny or sad or cool.

The reason for this question is - can you recreate the hard,funky, even angry music of back in the day without those raw lyrics? This I wonder

I'll accept him either way .It sure would be nice to hear him say " I sincerely want to ---- the taste out of your mouth again! But, I seriously doubt if that's gonna happen.

I think if he went back...like all the way back...he'd look silly. but I do think he could still say shit and muthafucka and get a lil nasty with out coming off as a perv.

I may prefer the prince of old but he is immortalised on thousands bootlegs and video tapes to watch over and over. But, thank fuck Prince has more sense than to try and still be that person as he nears 50 years of age.

I wouldn't mind at all. This whole PG-13, clean language thing feels like a lie; or a partial truth, at least. A person doesn't stop fucking and start having intercourse instead just because they turn 40.


I kinda miss the fucked up songs too. Not necessarily the ones about sex, but the weird ones like Lady Cab Driver, Purple Music, Annie Christian, etc. I realize that he's in a different place now than he was back then and I wouldn't want him trying to relive the past for the sake of us greedy fans, but life can't be all sunshine and lollypops -unless he's been hitting the Prozac.

Prince's "New" Durty is best heard in the last 1:30 of "Mellow" (start at around the 2:30 mark of the song). That's about as overtly duuurrrty as he's gonna ever get again. I know, "Insatable", that's why I put the quotes on new.

I don't need to hear him sing about "f'in the taste out of your mouth" anymore. If I do, guess what, I'll just Pretend I'm Married.

I would be seriously disappointed in him for several reasons:

1. Everyone is dirty now so its just stupid - Prince has always been an original. Prine siad he stopped cursing because whehn everyone does something, it isnt cool anymore. Prince did it when it was cool and outrageous - now it is old hat.

2. He would look ridiculous as he approaches 50. I loved Rick James and I remember going to shows where he was still trying to do the freaky stuff onstage with his bloated belly and aged face and te young chicks in the front row would be laughing at him. Prince is to good for such a thing - even though he still has the loooks.

3. The level of music that he is making now just doesnt go with that sex thing. He is making the most advance serious music of his career with projects like NEWS and Xpectation - ther is no real fit for overt bump and grind with thoughtful, well made, fully realized music that he makes now.
