Prince, Dolphin and 'The ledgend of 1900 ' Has anyone seen the film with Tim Roth - the ledgend of 1900, if so do you agree that the charecters belief in his music and his own world are mighty similar to Prince and the lyrics to dolphin connect them both. If theres anyone who hasn't seen the movie PLEASE get it on DVD , apart from anything else its a great story. Also the chap that played Princes dad in P. Rain has an amazing part in it. I'd tell you more about the plot but i dont want to spoil the ending except to say that if Prince was given the same choice i think he'd do the same.

Thaks Javed, I'll have to check it out! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Interestingly, at the Ottawa soundcheck something happened on stage that reminded Prince of a certain movie and he asked if any of us had seen it - If my memory serves correctly it was "The legend of 1900" he was asking about... maybe someone out there can verify this for me...
Anyhow, none of us had seen it and Prince thought we were all a bunch of Mennonites or something...

IstenSzek said: "Dolphin" was written after Prince read Betty J. Eady's book "Embraced By The Light"...
At a later date, on being asked what the song 'Dolphin' was about, Prince commented "That is best left in the Matrix" [This message was edited Thu Jun 27 11:30:30 PDT 2002 by IstenSzek] It's funny. At a prior date, he said he wrote "Dolphin" because some people who he thought charitable proved just the opposite.
